Hey guys, the Spirit Molecule thread is just under review (and rightfully so) and will hopefully be out back up for viewing after they read thru all of my rambling, lol.
Lye and Solvents are DANGEROUS! The MODs are s implying doing their jobs to keep us all safe. If they deem it 'unsafe', it shouldn't have been there in the first place and I back them up 100% in their decision. I didn't really go over the safety precautions in detail and can tell you that it IS dangerous.
With the Non-Polar Solvent, take the same precautions you would with butane extractions and whatnot; HIGHLY FLAMMABLE!
With lye, rubber gloves (up to the elbow if possible), protective eye-ware that is SEALED as to not let liquid thru (this shit can splash or even kind of explode if poured or mixed with water too quickly), a BREATHING MASK should be used as well (don't inhale the fumes!), clothing that protects your body and thick enough to give you time to react (preferably a chemical resistant lab coat or apron that covers as much as possible). Last and in my mind; most importantly: STRONG VINEGAR (I use to use white distilled vinegar). Lye will burn the fkn shit out of you, even if it is dry, your sweat and skin moisture is enough to burn you. Lye is dangerous, make you blind for life or severely burn you, dangerous. Lye is a CAUSTIC Alkiline, it can and will 'burn or corrode organic tissue by chemical reaction, ie. You... Flesh, hair, everathang! The use that shit to dispose of bodies and whatnot (maybe just an urban legend?).
There are some good Teks out there that only call for baking soda and vinigar, much, much safer. You still need to be careful with the solvent, tho.

Jk, but seriously, be careful. I suggest using the A/B or Baking Soda and Vinegar method, all natural (never tried it, tho).
