I can only point a horse to water, I can't make it drink.

I've met subcool on several occasions and been taught ways of the pros. I never questioned what they said as the end results speak for themselves.

Ph is important to any living thing. Do we constantly adjust our body Ph? No the food we eat maintains this. In a biological term you call it homeostasis.

"Ph is very important but it's not a factor soill growers should worry about." These words came out of subcools mouth not mine.

My PH is at 8.5 or higher in my area with a high ppm. I can grow my plants in Roots Organics and compost without any problems unless I add nutrients. Causing a serious lockout. Observe if you will

The yellowing plants all got Nectar for the Gods
The high calcium content in the water along with the other minerals locks out nutrients in my area

I literally did this same process at my last home I was living in. Same high PH less ppm and my plants were fine. I even used nutrients without checking ph

WOW dude! I mean seriously dude??your sitting there yapping about absolutely all kinds of stuff in which is a 100% contradiction..you sir are sharp as a marble dude, DAMN!!Body PH food maintains shouldnt even be in the same sentence firstly, unless ya know what yer talkin bout., and you dont, thats apparent ..Secondly ,Subcool is bias towards autos and anyone not as cool as him ,in which it sounds like yer similar..Good day to you sir."Check your PH" check out n read as you so delicately spoke of ppl not reading n check out the Baking Soda and body PH stuff in the general health area(s)..excellent stuff..and to you sir..I just showed you a large ole lake go take a sip man.

Th OP got many answers as for now were just spinning wheel's Iv closed this For ADMIN approval.....And when sub cool gets into Auto's then maybe we can consider it more applicable to what we do around here.........And if you don't believe the human body needs help in the PH department then maybe you need to start a bi-carb regimin your self.........

Sorry if I come off rude but a mod says I'm giving bad info I slightly get peeved. Some people need an education on the basics of growing. And ph manipulation is an advanced topic. If you have to ask what the ph should be your not at that level of growing and need to read more.

Sounds like you need to follow your own advice and do some reading, about auto flowering plants. As those of us who have been growing autos for the past 4, 5 or 6 years know, you can't follow the same techniques used to grow photo sensitive plants when growing autos. Spend some time in the New Growers forum or the Infirmary and you will quickly learn how important maintaining the proper pH is to successful growing of autos. A good 90% of the issues we see in the Infirmary are pH related. Most new growers aren't making their own mixes. They are buying off-the-shelf products, many of which aren't suited to growing autos. Making your own organic mixes is an advanced technique. We have endeavored to come up with simple techniques that are easy for new growers to understand and follow. We always encourage them to talk to us before starting their grows so they will start on the right path, rather than trying to fix issues later. We've seen wild pH swings in off-the-shelf products, from Fox Farms Ocean Forest with pH below 5 to Pro Mix with a starting pH of 7. So pH adjustments are necessary, regardless of what you think. For you to come here as a new member and try and pass your photo growing experience off as gospel for growing autos is not only the height of arrogance, it also undermines years of work that have been put in by our growers to determine the best ways to grow autos. So fair warning, if you continue to give misinformation regarding how to grow autos you will no longer be welcome here.
