Honestly why make things harder? It's called doing things right the first time. I have grown pot since the 90s and never had ph problems... dolomite lime is our friend.

U can use cheap miracle grow soil with success if it's limed enough.

I'm just saying people need to learn how to walk before they run. Research is a must when growing, you can't dig up dirt from your back yard or use cheap dirt with no amendments and hope u succeed. Chasing ph in soil is making more work for yourself and stressing out the plants. My results speak for themselves. I'm not just getting lucky for the past 20 years...

I agree, but let me say this. There is TOO MUCH info on the internet and in fkn HYDRO stores (imho). All I have done for the past 11 months is read, read, ask questions and read. I have never grown anything up until this year when I have tried my hand at all sorts of fruit, veg and of course cannabis. For new growers, and I say this only based on my own experience, there is too much conflicting info online. Not just with canna, but with anything you are wanting to learn. Unregulated information is a minefield. I was given bad advice repeatedly, from different hydro stores here, all because I want to grow organically, for personal use. Fools have no idea unless it's a clone in hydro but that's another story.

I love this site, and am not subscribed to any other, but the pure nature of the internet, means that to simply say "people need to walk before they can run" is kind of disrespectful in my opinion, all I wanted to do was walk, yet I feel I'm still crawling...

Dazed..

Furthermore, I have used a soil less mix called Promix with just added lime. I used the original earth juice liquid line with city water for a few years with never having any clue of ph. In a dr90 with a 400 I was getting 9+oz from one plant in a 7gal every two months no problem.

Just don't be an uneducated cheap skate when you buy soil. If u really want to manipulate ph, grow hydro or try hempy buckets.

can anyone tell me what is the correct ph to water autoflowers with,
and what is a good soil ph
and runoff
i would appreciate it, 2 gallon pots,

Bro let me tell you this, you need to introduce yourself and start a journal, for your own records-start a journal! Then you can get a more specific answer to your questions also.

When I say read I'm taking about actual cannabis growing books. They have been published since the 70s or 80s. Check one out, lean a few things and grow good cannabis consistently.

Experimenting is fine as long as you understand the results will vary.

I have even used the original Vic high soil mix, the original subcool soil mix, Tom hills soil mix with great results. I just don't like cook time.

Here's an idea, find a successful grower on here and emulate them. Do everything exactly the way they do it before making any changes. That's a good starting point for noobs.

PH is a very critical step.
If its not correct you will not get the most out of your plant.
please consider who is giving you advice and make your own choices.
Muddy is one person who will not steer you in the wrong direction.

All Miracle Grow soils and garden produc ts now contain time release MG nutrients, which are not good for flowerting cannabis, as it will dose them with too much nitrogen. Plus its owned by Monsanto, and I refuse to use ANYTHING they make, they are the antichrist of the gardening world......
