imo Since I use Organics Exclusively that gives me a fair judgement on that soil since I happen to use MG organics among a few others as well and I have had zero PH issues once blended as well as any water/feeding issues.and its not essentially pro mix in any way shape nor form.its a composted materials not cleanly washed as per a pro mix standard is hence the mark up.greedy bastages!!lol

And we are all here to learn dude..from Me to you to Sniper dude who loves whiting out from killer qwiso like I do lol to the dude who first posted man.so lets just all go read up a little and have a friendly discussion or even a lightly fun debate even with respect kept in mind and all opinions are open, welcome and encouraged.yet to come across such as a HEY man,I did it this way and its the ONLY way attitude, its not the right one to approach a new venture albeit here or in your tent by yourself..Peace man n lets go talk, get high n learn n have a laugh ,man..? whatcha say?...:pass: :vibes:

I was referring to the mg organic mix which is essentially pro mix.... Check the ingredients. Ph of this soil or pro mix is generally 4-5 which by itself well not grow well, added lime and some ewc and even a good Fox farm dry nute and you have a killer mix....

Think of cooking food, a recipe calls for a mixture of ingredients that by themselves would be not good but combined in the right portions work very well.

Soil mix is like this essentially.

Not sure where you are getting your info on pro-mix bro. It has been my experience, that pro-mix comes 6.9-7 PH out of the bag and I have to amend with aluminum sulfate to drop the ph to 6.3

sticky_buds, what may work for you, in your garden, may not work for someone else in theirs. We all most be open to every ones growing technique. For someone that has only been here a short time, you are coming off a tad rash. Please be mindful of the vibe here on AFN!!

Love the good vibes guys!

Please keep it clean and civil; there's more than one way to grow and we all have our techniques but sometimes those techniques are contradictory to common growing knowledge and so we have to be prepared (and willing) to have our peers constructively point them out and criticize if we're going to post them on a public forum.

It's not about "bringing down the hammer." It's about saying "hey, I see something that doesn't look right. Let me offer you some advice that seems to be generally accepted around here." We're a community fellas. Let's keep it that way!

I continue to learn and evolve my growing techniques.

When I was young I read about the Vic high mix and started from there.

I had success when other people who were using jo blows home depot soil were failing.

I moved to the sub cool super soil and had equal stellar results while others worried about ph and failed.

I had to get plain top soil and make it grow cannabis. I did what the pros did and had great success as a noob.

I started seeing growers use fox farms liquid products and soils with success so I tried those. With added lime the ocean forest soil grew to maturity mdanzigs bluestreaks with great results.

I used the tri pack and the OF soil for photos because the ease of use and I didn't know about the marine cuisine or fruit and flower lines.

I then seen great grows using pro mix and wash juice so I emulated those grows because I wanted to get better.

Earth juice is very weak and expensive to keep dumping on the plants.

I wanted to learn what would be easy and less expensive but quality of the old school super soils.

I was pointed to the fox farm and earth juice dry nute lines. I had easy access to Fox farms nutes so I used these. I am even told that I will do better with the earth juice dry nutes but I think that will be my next step in learning.

Nowadays there are a plethora of quality soils that can be easily amended with premixed dry nutes making an essentially easy super soil, without having to cook them.

Adding enough lime will stabilize Ph to not have to worry about it.

This was my point all along. I don't claim to know everything ,in fact I won't grow hydro because helping others do it convinced me it was too much work, I have a family and a job I can't spend all day in the grow room worrying about ph.

I probably would get more yield if I grew hydro or hempy but I prefer the taste and smell of soil grown cannabis.

I think ya may have missed the point of my post buddy :pighug:

I was just saying why not roll on over to the Organics section were I tend to see how the land lays most days n swap some info dude..I use organic and soil from Miracle grow Dr. earth as country soil and several other with proper blending and baseline fair quality you can get Exact results the same as anyones mix.can be done slightly more cheaper.or flatout cheap given the area your in from local sources n the like..Start a thread dude and throw out your trials errors n the like and that alone helps and helps others choose there path they wanna take.. or come on over to my 100% organic thread n have a look n see if you like whatcha see..? maybe? I dunno Im new'ish at all this too. so ya have ta go easy on me man ..Ok?! lol :pass:

I don't think it's good Karma to say ppl don't read or whatever, but I do get your point. Sounds like you could give some really good advice to growers, new and old.

peace.

Sorry if I come off rude but a mod says I'm giving bad info I slightly get peeved. Some people need an education on the basics of growing. And ph manipulation is an advanced topic. If you have to ask what the ph should be your not at that level of growing and need to read more.

I started a thread in the organic section brute I posted here. I have a journal in the autoflower pix section abd have several videos in the video section. Feel free to Check out my shit and tell me what I'm doing wrong. I'd like to know what I could do better, honestly.

Well which leads me to my final question I suppose there man..if you really wanna know and aint found the answer..why not post a question where ever that question is pertinent, and discuss said query where its your thread and leave this one in peace and we can easily continue there or somewhere more ideal..Reasonable...yes?...:pass:

Here's the deal bud, we try very hard to make sure the information being put out here is as accurate as possible. Sure, ideas and perspectives change on things, but generally as a collective we put our heads together and work out problems and come up with conclusions. Together. Key word being "together."

If someone challenges your claims, why not try to back it up with evidence (articles, links, etc etc?) Would help substantiate your claims and better educates growers (something I think we can both agree on is a good thing, right?)

That's the beauty of this site. It's not one guy running around telling everyone how to grow. It's many GREAT growers sharing their ideas and being willing to take advice from others. I learn stuff every day I'm on here.

We can appreciate your views and opinions just as much as we hope you will consider and appreciate our stance on topics. But your notion towards pH? That's just your opinion bro. Maybe some agree. Appears many do not. You're entitled to your opinion and you don't have to agree with the rebuttals, but you don't have the right to get upset when you're asked to verify your claims when it's contrary to common opinion.

I think what some of these guys are asking is that you simply show some consideration that your views, despite seeming to be true (and very well could be true) in your eyes are not necessarily seen as such in their eyes.

Sound fair bro? :Sharing One:
