Picture 366.jpgCan you see the size of this beast I found today. 7 fingers and big as a plate.o.g.ghost

My diavolos used to have 9 and sometimes 10, and i defoliated on my auto grow.

Defoliated? I can learn something new. Why would you take healthy leaves?

Have a look at my last update. However it doesn't have the same benefits for outdoor plants.

Removal of fan leaves that shade lower buds to allow more light to lower bud sites. Also help keeps plants at a cooler temp.

No lollipopping is a nono. Don't wanna cut the good stuff off ya know. Fans are the devils that shade the buds. A sog is just multiple plants put in close proximity with each other so that's a yes and no.

This method works best with a scrog however I can't scrog with my setup. I use defoliation for the increased bud production and the structure it builds for the plant. Defoliation makes a plant slow on verticals growth without nipping the leader while still promoting more nodes. Also keeps nodes closer together. So in the end you get a bushy plant with more nodes closer to the same height.

Also defoliation only works with plants that have been constantly defoliated since the beginning.

This is why I love this site! Such great imformation. I always just trimmed a leaf on a bud that was outgrowing her neighbors. By trimming the top leaves I slowed down the verical growth on it and let the others catch up. I thought the shade would make the lower limbs to stretch out of the shade into the light. I can see how your method would incourage limb growth. Maybe also the sunlight I use might penatrate a layer or two of leaves.
