Grow Mediums Pineapple Express Autos

Just ordered the 150hps from HTC. I don't play on using it til my plants stop growing vertically because I heard the HPS will increase stem and leaf production. I rather use the HPS to only stimulate bud production and minimize growth in height due to the size of my grow tent.

Other than that everything is going well. The Ph is relatively stable, I think heat may be an issue with the HPS but we'll see. The roots are coming in really nicely.

I do have one question though, When I SCROG my plants to keep them short and bushy, what's the easiest way for me to conduct a res change without stressing my plants?? I'm thinking of using a mini shop vac to suck the water out, any suggestions are welcome !

Week Two:

Plants are looking mighty healthy. One pheno seems to be growing much larger while the other is staying nice and compact. We'll see if this continues within the next few weeks. I don't know if my mind is playing tricks on me but these two are in veg and they def stink, not where my whole whole smells but when I walk into my room I can def smell it if my carbon filter is off.

If you guys look closely you can see some heat stress symptoms on the first set of leaves, I've raised the lights slightly to prevent stressing the plants. I just want to keep them as compact as possible and also scrog them when the time comes.

23oC is close to danger zone but ok if you have penty of air in the res ....much safer to be @ 18-20oC :Sharing One:

Thanks again DW!!

Week 3 Update.
-Haven't gave the plants any nutrients until last night, roughly 350ppm(micro,veg,bloom) I'm on week three but they seem really small and growth may have stunted, I feel that it may be due to a variety of factors - I kept a humidifier in the tent to keep levels around 60-70, in addition, the stems were turning purple, leaves were slightly discolored. Overall, I tried to keep the plants compact and that's exactly what happened but I feel that they are too "compact". Let me know what you guys think !

The pistils came at exactly 3 weeks ! I've been told that growth will be explosive in the next two weeks, but I just don't see that happening !

Growth may have slowed because of all the factors I mentioned in addition to the weak LED lights I'm using which are not 6500k. I ordered the XML 150 LED light to finish up my grow and will utilize these "blackstar LEDS" as side lighting. I'm sure this grow will help those who may consider purchasing an XML.

I'm on week 4.

I def should of given them a light nute feeding at two weeks to prevent nute deficiencies and stunted growth. The first plant is super bushy, I started to tuck all the big fan leaves I could. The second plant is quite resilient, I dropped an LED on her and she's def bouncing back and producing pistils !

Just got my XML 150, and its on full power and the plants love it, I have it about 12 inches from my canopy and my plants seem to be fine - no bleaching. The makers suggests I keep the lights 20inches away But I'll keep them were they're at for now. Moreover, I got a lux meter and the canopy is around 48,000 lux. If anyone understands lux can they provide some input as to what is optimal? I could lower the lights to maybe 8 inches away but I feel that the plants would be stressed with about 75,000 lux lol

These LEDS are amazing, they literally produce NO HEAT, my cab stays at 73 for most of the day around 17 hours of operation they up the temps to 76 maybe. They are expensive lights but are very nice.

I know it may be a little early but I plan on these ladies finishing in a month. I'll start germinating my next grow in about 3 weeks and utilize 2 gallon buckets and grow 4 females with this light to see how they do.

These autos started off really slow, in addition to experiencing a lot of early stress. When they were droopy a few days ago, I believe it was due to the rez change and the water temp was around 50 degrees which I'm sure didn't help with the change in environment. I kept Temps, humidity, and air flow perfect until they were nursed back to health and look at them now at 5 weeks !!

PPMs are around 450 and they are slowly going down, and the PH is staying consistently at 6 which is near perfect, I'd rather have 5.8 but all well. Hopefully they eat everything this week I wanna put them on big bud for 2 weeks then finish them off with overdrive.

I gotta quick question. I'm using Flora 3-part base nutrient series, do I add these nutrients to the water first or do I add supplements such as calmag, biothrive, and big bud first?

looking good `:Sharing One: always calmag 1st ,then other "hot" nutes like bigbud ect ... then any other supps ... the base last & you can make it up to your desired PPM ...PH & your good to go :peace:
