Plant communication

Very interesting talk, thanks a lot for sharing.

I've had a theory since I first started growing autos alongside photoperiod plants last year, I really think this "talking tree" mechanism applies to cannabis and especially to the triggering of flowering.

Let me explain, last year was the first time I grew autos, and I've been growing photoperiod for over 10 years in the same spot. I had about a dozen autos scattered around a dozen photoperiods. Last year for the first time, I had photoperiods not only showing sex but actually budding in early June, right about when the autos I had started in may started to flower.

Granted last year's photoperiods genetics were given to me and not bought beans though, but this stayed on my mind and I wanted to try again this year with some trusted beans.

I now have about 50 autos and about 20 photos going (peep my thread in the outdoor section), and some of the photoperiods I started in early March seem like they are starting to flower right now mid-may!
We'll see in a couple weeks if they actually start budding, but right now the tips are swelling up and they're developing more and more pistils.

I think the autos might be telling the photos to start flowering in case there's a male in there so they can be pollinated and continue the species, through this volatile means of communication they talk about in the presentation.

Anyone who has grown both autos and photos alongside each other outdoors ever observed this phenomenon?

Sounds like the wife (the photo) getting frisky after the teenage girls (the autos) turn up at a party wearing mini skirts and make off with all the boys....

Ok I'll get my coat and leave lol.
