I'm in N Central Florida. Gulf Coast.
It's hot and humid here, and daylight hours max out at about 14.
Plants stack buds nicely, then they swell and get fat and smelly, just as you like, but if you don't harvest in 3 or 4 days, regardless of trichomes, they lose their smell and frostiness, and foxtail until they're just a larfy mess.
Any ideas tips or suggestions.?
I grow in big pots, and in the ground.

I feel your pain.
My trichomes never behave themselves.
Right now I've got a 13.5 week AutoSeeds SuckerPunch that doesn't have any solid orange trichomes, but MIGHT have some slightly yellow tinted heads on clear stems.
AutoSeeds says the strain takes 9.5 - 11.5 weeks.
But I did top and train it in DWC, which might've slowed it down.

Could it be that some diabolicial anti-weed person invented trichome judging to frustrate us all?
