PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! Little white bugs in soil.

Be careful with diatomeaceous earth as it raises the ph of the soil, don't go overboard with it.

Absolutely correct.... But it takes a lot I think.... I have a Bluelab soil pen, and for what soil pH measurements are worth, I couldn't detect any changes large enough to justify any fiddling around. I used about 100 g of DE including the occasional repair jobbie.

And the Alien vs Triangle in the pic delivered an acceptable dollop of fine herb....

"skin a gnat" hahaha.

It's actually spot on..... That is literally what happens......

Just my 2cents, it really sounds like thrips.
Azamax is a great product for disrupting their life cycle. It's organic, and works on quite a few nasty buggers.
DE is a great second punch. I dust it liberally on the soil with a shaker like the pizza joints use. Never use the pool stuff. It's toxic as
Food grade, or get it from a farm store.
I use it in my soil mix, two cup per cubic yard, I've never had any issues with pH.

:toke: TWG-- The leaves look like plain old N defc. to me,... don't you have another thread on this here already? I lose track sometimes!
...OK, the bugs.. I can't see clearly what they are in that vid' snap shot,... with the comment about their speed, it one of two things: soil mites like Proph. said, or springtails, which will jump away if you poke at them-- they disappear like they teleported! The shapes are entirely different though, and soil mites look just like most of their other kin- 8 legged bloated little "ball's", usually pale color

.....Springtails look kinda like thrips, more elongate body, so no mistaking the two,...
th
th
<<-- that tail piece is actually the "spring".... Both are basically harmless, feeding on decaying matter,... note that the soil mites (also springtails) want nothing to do with the plant itself, and won't be found on them, and don't feed on them either,...
...It's not thrips, there's no tell-tale damage to the leaves that would 100% sure be there if you had a breeding population infesting her,...
.. the DE treatment should help knock down the population in any case, or like Red mentioned, Azamax,... spinosad containing products will work too, though as a soil drench, it's not as effective... :amazon:

....:pighug: Ray-ed! 'Mornin' my brudda- :bong: ..wish I was sharing this Acapulco Gold bud and Skywalker x WW hash with y'all! :baked::baked:
Me too! This Ultra Lemon Haze ain't bad either!
:pass:
