Hello everyone, I'm growing SS Dark Devil auto in happy frog soil under a 150w hps. She is in a SJ tent in a 4 gallon pot. As you can see in the picture her leaves are yellowing. I need advice on what could be the problem.

What else is in the soil other than FFHF? Did you put anything else in there? Have you tested the pH of the soil?

It looks like nute burn....

Have you been putting any veg nutes in the water? If so, don't....FFHF has enough built-in nutes to last for 2 and a half weeks or so.

I haven't used nutrients. I think I may have overwatered it. & I used tap water at first but I've been using bottled water. I don't know what's my ph I was going to buy one from my local hydro store but the guy who works there said I prob wouldn't need it I just could use tap but let it sit out side for a few days.

For sure looked fried... Spot on Trapper... I used FFHF for a year or so and didn't need to do anything but water them until sex showed.... Then I would start grow nutes. Also make sure you don't over water. Each time you water you are essentially feeding because of the nutes it comes preloaded with. So make sure you don't over water as well.

But trapper asks another good question.. Is there anything else im that soil or are you feeding already?

Well, letting the water sit with no lid for 24hrs. will get rid of the Chlorine...but there's no telling what the pH is w/o testing. Totally depends on where you live...geography and rural vs. urban. If you are in a densely populated area, there is a chance your water has more than Chlorine (that can't be removed the same way) but I would think your Hydro Store guy would know that....

May just be overwatering releasing too many of the nutes in the FFHF...

I hadn't introduced any nutrients. I figured it would be to early. I've posted on other forums some suggested hotspot idk but nobody has really given me a definite answer on what it could be. Im really worried because I don't want to lose her. Also I'm trying to do a organic grow. What organic nutrients do you suggest.?

Okay ill pick up a ph tester today at the hydro store. What brands are the best. For a reasonable price?

Well the plant is only a week old so it should be nutrients in the soil still I'm guessing.

For Soil probes there is really only one choice - Accurate 8 by Control Wizard. - It's like $55 bucks or something close. And you can test the water cheaply with a strip kit just to see if you're in the ballpark.

RE: Organics...No idea, sorry. I'm a Fox Farm guy on nutes too, so I'm running synthetics.

Good Luck!
