Mephisto Genetics Poor germination rates lately!

I have been growing Mephisto genetics exclusively for almost 3 years now and have up until just recently experienced 100% germination rates. I bought a seven pack of white train from seeds here now because it has been discontinued and is one of my all-time favorites. So far three of the seeds from the seven pack have not germinated. I have always experienced 100% germination with their genetics after no more than 48 hours. I was just curious if anyone else is experiencing this lately or orders from SHN.?

Can’t say that I have ! 100 percent germ rate on every stain I have grown . I have purchased all my seeds directly through MG and not through stockists. I will say that the Illuminautos and unreleased beans I have received as freebies have not always been quite as vigorous out the gate but produced just the same. Of note, I usually germ a couple extra beans and select the best plants to grow out as I have a 2x4 tent and can’t waste space.

I totally agree BC this is the first time that I have had to order secondhand seeds and they're not germinating . I always preferred to order directly from Mephisto but they no longer sell the white train so I was trying to stock up from their recommended stockists . Not going so well so far but I have some Stilton I will try to pop next. Maybe the White trains are just old or something.

The biggest thing that bums me out is that it is probably my favorite strain of all time. It is potent and not so loud during the grow so it is very good for apartment grows . I am going to make some of my own feminized seeds if I can get one of the seeds that I have purchased to actually pop. I also like the new Artisanal northern cheese haze but it is sold out at Mephisto to.Since it is an F1 cross maybe I would have to grow out Walter White and feminize her to pollinate the Fantasmo. I imagine that is how Mephisto did it . Because if I feminized the white train it would then become an S1. I don't know what kind of difference this could make.

I also had germ issues with the white train as well as walter white. I ordered from them directly as soon as the shop came back online for US orders. A few days after I ordered it went down again for a few more weeks. I received a five pack of both walter white and the white train (wt was freebies) as well as double grape. DG had 100% germ rates.....none of the five white trains popped, and only one walter white. I PM'd them on here and received ZERO response. I love mephisto...but it is a bit frustrating to receive this level of customer service.

I would try to reach out again to GBD and ask them to resend. I’m sure you are a good customer and customer service is their hallmark. I have heard of germ issues from stockists but never direct orders. Never grown out WT.... Just the Walter White. I know @Roasty McToasty has a couple going right now. I am 1/1 on the WW. That is rather new stock I believe, so I'd be surprised if they didn't pop from age. I have an unopened pack of white train from black Friday, so I'm guessing that's old stock.

I am sure the guys would want to know if there is an issue with a particular strain not germing and WT is not offered in their current catalog . Would be a shame if you can’t get grow out a favorite. Good Vibes.
