Well I just thought Id jot down a few words since I planted some Poppy seeds the other day.ill get more info on the type and time were talking but from what I understand you can get them on amazon but the strains I happen to have do produce the opium latex which is illegal to buy and grow but legal to buy and eat.I was suprised to hear you could get them un sterilized to grow.so this should be fun.I got two papa types and a friend bred or gave me his seeds from another seeded bulb he did.and they are slow starters but there get pretty good sized too from what I understand so this is gonna be fun.they'll take right about 7 weeks to even 8 fully seeded and just prior to that for drawing of the goodness i wanna tinker with a wee touch n see if I can get that beautiful blend of hash n opium i had sooo many years ago.man i would prolly feel like a time machine kicked in er something LOL!anywho, ill post some pics once i have something.I really dont know fully what Im walking into yet.LOL!

Ive grown poppies before, not opium tho. Will be watching!

Count me in bro!

cool deal.yeah man, just wanting to try them and see if they can truly help me as to what I need.I certainly dont wanna use it straight.a food and a nice blending agent for bowls or joint or which ever and potent so a small itty bitty sprinkle could essentially help me with a TON of my pain.no action on em yet I hear they are really slow starters too.but we'll see.I have enough to plant them multiple times so ill get a cpl of them I hope LOL! Thanks fellerz!!:Sharing One:

eof you never stop amazing me. I didn't think this was possible in north America.
Will these grow tall and make a bulb on the top with a red flower?

ooh yeah bro!! Ive already been warned to support em.tall HUGE flower that ill mostly likely snake through my tent since my height is limited. But sheeiit to me?i would LIKE or rather LOVE to grow some TRUE cocoa hands down.since im not nor ever would or will try to make the dried substance ,as a natural tea(plain plucked ,leaves only slightly dried) or any number of things as a health and a here n there thing used for benefit verses an all the time use such as COT(forget the true name stm tooo freshly stoned lol) n the like.cot however give a LOT more agression which i dont need any of something like that.Im nasty enough LMFAO!!thats fellaz!!really stoked to see these take off in another week assuming I dont kill em cuz they are sensitive.LOL!"AFN smoke out":Sharing One:

Cooool man. I've spent about $100 collecting different strains of poppy seeds over the last summer and fall. I successfully grew out a potful of California Orange Poppies. They were midgets. I didn't get too far past the cabbage phase before they froze. I was going to bring them in but I had a terrible gnat infestation so I did not. I still have all of my seeds and have tilled up a pretty good area in the yard for springtime poppy sowing. I have also begun guerrilla sowing likely places with handfuls of store bought poppy seeds (which I will do with MJ seeds after I breed enough photos)
As a pain patient, I've done a ton of research on poppies and growing and preparations of poppies. I am looking to do some scraping as well as making some teas (drinkable) with dried bulbs. I don't live in the best area to grow them but I'm going to give it a go this year in a 4'x80' area along my back fence.
I'm planning several waves of sowing to have kind of an elongated bloom. I've also seen them grown indoors using hydro.
Glad someone else is interested.
