Do not top your plants. With proper LST you don't need to. The very limited veg time of an auto if topped at the 2'nd won't be worth your time and effort. With proper LST you can flatten a plant out like a hub cap!

people that dont fim defoliate and tie tie tie\dont really understand their plants at all
or are living like its still 5-10 years ago
although i dont top my plants autos or regs and i dont lollypop
(why cut off prime bud spot potential)
BUT fimming well that a new ball game you instantly just multiplied your prime realestate by 2-8 X NON FIMING
AUTOS TODAY hell some are just little tanks that can really eat up almost anything you through at them
i fim in veg 4th node up with a very smile shape cut usually around 10-15 days
20-25 days defoliate all old fans
then defoliate as needed (when needed means that your fans are covering budsites and blocking air flow)
YOUR BUD SITES NEED LIGHT YOUR BUDSITES NEED AIR
my yields average right at a 1/4 pound give or take
potency wonderful

my last single plant (superdwarf) yield=8.3 oz dry weight ( plant size 22in tall X almost 4 ft wide)
anyway like i say NOT SO STRESS IS THE BEST
o yea go hydro in your small height closet (then you could buy a rubbermaid 2-3 gal short fat container) =problem solved
then have mabey one plant in the same space you have two
fim it defoliate and tie the shit out of her REALLY KEEP HER LOW LESS THAN 2 ft
suppercropp also helps with this (yea i do this too)
also real attention to detail tlc tlc tlc
1 plant now yields 2-3 oz dry like fallen off a log
and with practice average 1/4- 1/2 pound PER PLANT!!!!!!!!!!!

Jason - Hehe yeah I am tie crazy on all of my plants...though I am a rookie at autos I have had some huge trained photos. Been a long time since I have done the indoor gig, but I am looking forward to it. As for container choice that's exactly what I was thinking. I looked for airpots, but nobody has any in the area that I could find.
