New Grower Preflower?

Yep looks good. 2 of my plants started showing preflowers yesterday. You can check them out on page 2 here to compare with yours.

Nice, you'rs are looking good too. One of the auto's is, the biggest one, is showing alot of white hairs now but i took a picture under hps :

It has become extremly "bushy", and I am worried that something is wrong if you look at the newest leafs? Is this normal, is it flowering maybe? Or is there somehting I am doing wrong with nutes/watering ?

Can it be salt build up in coco? they dont look yellow or miscolored.. I can take a new picture later today without hps, that might help more. I am first time grower, so I am not sure if this is normal xD

You leaves look dry and the upward curl on the edges confirms this. Your internodes are very close together leading to what you call 'bushy' but results in one leaf shading another.

Your lights are too close. You are drying out your leaves. By moving your light up your plant will stretch to get to it giving you a better shape.

Thanks for the fast reply :) yeah maybe the HPS has to be further away.. But I read on a distance chart that they could be as close as 20 CM, but maybe thats during full flower?

They are still young so I will do as you advice and move the HPS further away, how much do you suggest? I think they are around 50 CM away from the Top of the plant.

It depends on the power of your lamp. I keep a 400W 40cm away.

Tip: Hang a plumb line down from your lamp. Say a piece of string with a screw tied to the end. Keep the screw just above the canopy. Much easier than guessing or measuring.

I have 600W :) so maybe 60cm would be accurate, but i will try even higher if the problem does not go away, Thanks for the tip! :D didnt even think of that, making life easy :D!

crome welcome to the forum mate , try and get a clip-on fan blowing inbetween your plant tops and your shade on the opposite side of your CF so it blows some of the heat away from your plants mate and use the back of your hand method to get the right hight for your light buddie , good luck with your grow :peace:

Hey dex :) thanks for the input! :) i Have 2 fans actually even though you dont see them on in front and one in the back blowing on the top of plants to make heat go away.

I was recommended this due to the heat from 600W. I worry about putting them too close, heard that also could dry them out?

I also use the "back of hand" and it does not feel to warm, thats why I wondered what could cause this.. but I trust you guys and will take care of this heat problem :D
Probably stupid question but will spraying water directly on to the plants help them "moist" a little? Have not done this yet but thinking of doing while the light is off to avoid burn.

No dont go misting under a 6oow bulb mate thats asking for trouble buddie but yes mist if you wish at lights out , try and post some pics of your groom so we can see your set up and the guys at AFN will help you out no probs mate thats why were all here crome :peace:

hehe :D ok then I will avoid misting ;) will post some pics showing how the whole room looks at the moment. Love this site, cant thank you people enough for fast feedback.

Humidity is around 42% btw. Should I try to up it?

i wouldn't go misting your plants if they are gong into flower mate, whether its lights on or off can cause bud rot
