Extraction Processing BHO and Purging Video

Weedman, did you create these videos? These are amazing!

Hey SOH i sure did create them. I think il be going to video updates for my journals now. Much easier talking then typing lol. Got a nice video camera on the way 57x zoom n such so quality of videos will be completely different.

Thanks for taking the time to watch!

:slap: max rep brother for the videos! Really helped a lot getting a visual and watching, question do you run your vac the entire time or do you get the right amount of suction your looking for and than close the valve and turn the vac off? Or what's the deal? I don't know how it would be running one of those vacs for so long, looking into a Nuwave Induction Burner for hearing source for the chamber but at last am at a lost for what kind of vac and chamber kit to get on eBay.... I'd be only doing small runs like a few ounces at a time....I have a honey bee extractor that is ok but may be getting a smaller glass tube to use, really loved your tube and stand but in the end you had to end up holding it any how... So still on the fence for such small runs if such a extractor would be necessary or if they make smaller ones? Got a link for them?
Also so for the bombardment of questions but why did you in the beginning transfer the oil from the first special paper you used (forgot the name) to the parchment paper? Couldn't you do the entire process from start to finish on the same paper? Thanks for the info and again mega thanks for videos :slap:

Thanks for all the info. One last question I find that when I vacuum purge for like 72 hours at around 105. I look at it everything looks good it's stable it's not bubbling while in the vac no more so I think it's good. But then I'm like let me heat it up real quick to get the last of the tane out, and it start bubbling when I get around 130 in the vac. Does that mean there's still.tane left even though I vacuum it for that long at low. Or does it mean I'm cooking out like terps and stuff, because it worries be when I see bubbles when I heat it up. But not sure if bad bubles lol

Yoda what's up Man Thanks for the Slap. Ok let's get down to business.

Q.do I run my vac the entire process?
A. No I do not I will pull to my desired pressure which is approx -15hg when I'm doing my initial purge. Once I have gathered the oil and its controllable and won't muffin and stick to the sides of the vac I will then pull to a full vacuum at -29hg and turn to valve to close the chamber off and keep a seal then shut the vac off. Keep in mind you will want to release the pressure in the line from your lid to the vac as the back pressure can sometimes draw the pumps oil up into your line.
KEEP IN MIND GUYS HYDRO CARBON WHICH IS THE EXHAUST FROM YOUR PUMP CAN KILL YOU. DO NOT SET A VAC UP AND RUN IT FOR LONGS PERIOD INSIDE WHERE YOU WILL BE. FOR EXAMPLE DONT RUN YOUR VAC WHILE YOUR SLEEPING IN THE SAME ROOM YOU MAY NOT WAKE UP.
I built a garden hose to attach to my exhaust manifold so it is released out through the wall of my shed.

Q.nuwave induction burner does it work?
A. They are great man if personally never had one but have had buddies who used them and love it as you have the digital thermometer gauge. But keep in mind they only heat SS with the magnetic bottom. So in order to heat your chamber you will have to buy a Magnetic adapter plate to position on the burner to place your chamber on. Also get a IR thrometer so you will know how much heat that plate buffers and chamber buffers.

Q. What size chamber?
A. If your only running a few ozs of material here and there a 2-3 gal chamber be great also a 3 cfm pump would work well. 2 stage pumps are nice as they will get quieter when a 1 stage vacuum will scream the entire time. Most kits on EBay are pretty decent.

I like my tube as well and have a few other glass ones various sizes. I have now purchased a few different Pyrex dishes since my video and built a wood stand for my tube so I can now use it on different sizes Pyrex dishes and not have a problem of holding it anymore. So it was a quick fix.
I was gifted that Tube by the company to Try out and am pleased with it some changes will be made though. For the Price stick with a Glass tube for small runs.

These tubes are a good price for the quality US Boro and 32mm thick also have the lip.
14 gram Tube Here:

Here is a small version of the Tube I used. Mine is a Dexso E.O.E Extractor the Professional version.
If your cruise the internet you can find them for a decent price. Even other brands as well.

You can do the entire process on PTFE which is the paper I Sprayed into. I just prefer parchament paper as it is much easier to work with in the final stages and when you flip your oil during the purge as the wax tends to want to stick to PTFE and with parchament it just comes right off.

Hope this clears up some things for you if not get back up with me.

One way I tell my oil is clean is I vacuum purge for 56 hours plus. One thing to look at is when you start purging right off the back all the way up to the 24 hour mark look closely at your bubbles popping during this time. Why would you do that you might ask. Have you ever seen oil in water before or when it rains the oil on the road gets a rainbow tint film to it at the right glare or angles? If you have you know what I'm talking about. Look at your bubbles and you will see that when they expand they have that tint of the rainbow to them slightly that's showing butane is still in your oil. When your bubble are clear and you've hit 56 hours your good to go. As pulling your oil under vacuum is destroying terms you are correct.

Another way to tell your wax is clean is when you dab it listen to it. It should just melt there should be no sparking or sizzling when you dab your oil.

Hope this helps if not let me know

Jesus help me! went from a curiousity, research, and than myself telling me I can wait to get going on this bho making process... Wrong! Couldn't help myself today and picked this up

Going to get a vac and purge kit off eBay, not going to be doing more than a few ounces of product at a time so I am considering the Pyrex 3 or 4 qt chamber but pump I don't know is it even worth the extra $$$ to get a dual stage fancy pump or if the one that comes with it will suffice ? Thoughts?

I keep daydreaming of Ghost Train Haze wax to the dome son!

Two stage vacs supposedly are quieter, and reach full.vacuum faster. I have a one stage and have used it for a long time. But it does get loud , so if you have a problem with nosey people two stage is quieter.
