Extraction Processing BHO and Purging Video

Jesus help me! :rofl: went from a curiousity, research, and than myself telling me I can wait to get going on this bho making process... Wrong! Couldn't help myself today and picked this up

Going to get a vac and purge kit off eBay, not going to be doing more than a few ounces of product at a time so I am considering the Pyrex 3 or 4 qt chamber but pump I don't know is it even worth the extra $$$ to get a dual stage fancy pump or if the one that comes with it will suffice ? Thoughts?

Hey Yoda that pump is great 3 CFM will pull to -29hg no problem. I use a 3 CFM pump but its a 2 stage and there's no difference in what it's doing its just how it does it and mister happy was spot on between the differences in vacs. I've never used a Pyrex chamber so can't comment. But I have seen shitty SS chambers Implode and get sucked in so remember it is a pretty decent amount of negative pressure in the chambers so just make sure it's thick.

Winterizing or dewaxing can take place in various steps of the extraction. As for what it does or difference its when you remove the Plants Lipids/Fats that make it through into your oil. Some people argue that's where all the flavor is at.

For the guys who have the closed loop systems they have a inline dewaxing colum that does it for them. As for us who open blast you can either do it after you blast or after the oil is stable.

You would simply dissolve the oil into everclear or organic grape spirits I do this step at room temp helps the oil dissolve. Once the oil is dissolved into your Liquid throw a coffe filter or something over your mason jar that holds your dissolved oil into the fridge for 48 hours. You will see the fats freeze.

Once you see Frozen particles after 48 hours it's time to work fast.

Have another mason jar with a coffee filter over the top strain your liquid through I pour into the flyer and put back in freezer to drip.

Once it's all strained you'll see your filter has the fats in it.

Simply then purge your oil as if it was qwiso so get rid of the everclear.
 
Will you do a video including this step? I follow what you're saying, but I'm a visual learner, and would probably grasp it just a bit better.
 
Il be doing a video on my next run on all the trim from this harvest. Going be a pretty large run. I'm thinking in a week il be doing it. As I will be harvesting my sour hounds tomorrow. And that trim needs to dry. The Ripleys OG trim is ready to go but I will wait to have it all.
