I completely agree about the se Asia stuff getting a little freaky deaky... I have a flo cross pheno that I call "PTSD" she is the trippy racy paranoid evil stepsister of "silver flo" who is trippy and kind.
Anyway- I think there is a lot too affy genetics that is overlooked , I never saw an "indica" plant over there- all I saw were lanky long narrow finger leaved plants...
The affy/ Mexican is interesting... The Mexican satis are so upbeat, and euphoric- not too racy if they get harvested cloudy. As for the satis potentially making pain worse- Ill go with that, it does matchu experience as well to an extent- I think alot of that has to do with the overall "heightened" senses that accompany them. Too easy to become keenly aware of your body not doing things or feeling right. I'm all about the idea that if you get your head right- the body will follow. I really like alot of what the affy provides- but in most of the "Dutch" stuff the nl/sk/haze stuff it's all generic, and murky...
That's what makes some o these crosses that are pretty far removed from the "major seedbank" genetics and aren't just reshuffling them all again, so interesting. Not to say that there isn't still a ton if good in the Dutch stuff.
Yeah but if the crazy paranoid plants are there, the pure bliss electrifying phenos are not far..
You were over there? Nice. Agreed, Afghanistan was sativa country in the early beginnings of their hash culture, it was only later that the ruderal indicas were employed. Afghanistan went through a lot of change. The thing that pisses me off is that maple leafed webbed indicas are near extinct since the russians came. Sensis Maple Leaf Indicas suck, and the only available kind are tainted ( though very nice! ) hawaiian webs. I know exactly what you mean. Plants around Mazar-i-sharif get huge for indicas .
Word on the Mexighanis, also on my list of things to do .
Well yeah, the dutch genepool is quite bottlenecked..But I also like the dutch classics..But maybe more because of nostalgia..That's just the stuff you grow up with in western europe. But I think the future of the american seedmarket is much much darker. Heavy commercialization will def. lead to a massive drop in overall quality. Now that the risks slowly decline, all the outsiders and amateurs jump in and try to get rich off weed
