Harvest & Curing Puck 65% RH Beads

Iv been wanting to get some boveda pack to try out but it's looking like there tough to get in the UK unless I order from the USA,iv seen these available in cigar stores http://www.cgarsltd.co.uk/puck-beads-humidity-225g-p-9831.html has anyone had any experience with these or similar products? It's pretty pricey but I'm wondering how much usage outa an 8oz bottle I'd get? Iv done a quick ebay check and if i ordered boveda from the states I'd get a 12 pack for around the same price as that 8oz bottle

i'm with you there... i've been searching uk cigar shops with no luck. the puck seems to get good reviews from cigar aficionados.
no idea how long it lasts but i will keep searching

Hey snooch,I did email a company in the USA about boveda packs and the said puresativa.com in the UK stocked them,so I emailed them and they confirmed they have them,but they wanted my company details which I thought was strange,I said I'm not a company just a guy wanting some packs and iv not heard back off them :-( I'll email them again now and if they come good I'll let you know mate:smokebuds:

I use similar beads, for both my cigars, and my weed. They work great. When you moisten them, be sure and use distilled water, as any minerals in the water will reduce their effectiveness. They will raise the RH if it is too low, and absorb RH if it is above 65%, which reduce the chances of mold.

I buy them by the pound. One pound is good for an entire 120 quart ice chest. I would say a 1/2 oz would be plenty for a quart jar, up to 2 quarts, or maybe even 2 liters. Just get something like panty hose, and make some little bags out of them, and fill with beads.

dont know what the shipping charge is but i ordered those 62% rh packs the other day and it was 12 USD for 12 packs. i should be getting them today and will use them on the harvest i just had and post results but 65% is just a little higher than i would like for my bud to be at for curing
