Hey All,

This is my first grow of Mephisto Purple Nuggets.
She's so short and stumpy, I'm struggling to leaf tuck or do any real training.

I pulled her to one side early which helped a bit, but she's so dense I don't really know how to approach training her. I've done as much tucking as I can, but there are a few sites I cant even remotely get to at the moment.

Any tips, tricks or knowledge is more than welcome.

Here are some pics of the progress so far. Shes two weeks old.

With a bit more precision and patience i have managed to expose all sites, bar one. Which i hope to be able to pull out from underneath in a day or two

Depending on the pheno you get Strawberry Nuggets can be a bitch to train. Looks like you got one of the small, dense types which can be troublesome to LST because the branches and stems become brittle and snap when bent. The only way to train these is to top them and then remove leaves and expose the branches so they grow out faster. You can remove the leaves either by tucking them out of the way (or rolling them up) or by pruning them. The less actual defoliation done the better but sometimes you just have to cut them off. My last run I had one of these phenos in the batch and while she never got big I still got 92g dried weight.

Eeek. Topping isn't really something I want to do if I can help it. Shes 1 of 3 in the tent and by far the best performing so far. I really don't wanna stunt her. Next time round I will def try topping her, now I'm a bit more familiar with her stature.
I'm gonna look on the brightside. Its teaching me to be patient and to be very careful while lst her lol.

92g dry is about what I would ideally like off her. If I can achieve that I'll be very happy and high :headbang:.

Out of curiosity what method of growing did you use?

My last SN was so small im not touching my next one. Pretty sure my LST stunted it.
This girl doesn't mind the lst I'm doing so far. In fact she's a bit of a monster lol.
It really is a game of cat and mouse, trying to keep her under control.
She's the shortest and thickest strain I've ever come across.

:yeahthat: Just harvested a SN x Skywalker cross and it was hard on the SN side. Very short, dense, compact. Tried to top her and f'ed that up because the internodal spacing was almost microscopic.
