Mole, know that i ahd time to read the whole thread...
When to stop the training? I stop when, what would be, vertical growth stops or slows way down. Usually a week or so after I switch them to boom nutes.
Personally i grab a few extra twisty ties from the produce dept when i go shopping, rather then pipe cleaners. Same idea really. just throughin that out there for anyone. There way sturdy and you can twist them to make them really long.
As for the lower branches... I have the same problem all the time. Next round I am going to bring them straight up along the main stem and tye them that way til they are stable. I'll take the upper branches and train them out to the sides to make room for the lower ones. I think that will help later on so they are not shadowed by the canopy as it fills in. As for the top just keep her under the screen until she slows down then i'd let her go.

Just things I've noticed and done along the way. Hope any of these things help.

I understand all that!.. lol.. the lower branches are being shadowed, they are definitely trying to make it to the screen.. the last few days the training as slowed down.. the main concentration.. middle is pretty good.. everything has a space/square.. and there are a few squares along the outside that the lower branches are working up to.. so I'm going to let them grow up.. still poking leaves down.. and not really haven't to manipulate anything else.. I appreciate the info and advice brotha! Can't wait to see that grow you just started btw.. it's gonna be sick!
Edit.. after looking under the screen.. there really isn't any "bud" sites down there to speak of.. they are all along the top.. Definately digging the scrog!

Today's pic.. and last day of "true" screen training.. now to see how tall she's going to get.. I count.. about 40/50 bud sites up there.. I'm also counting the ones just below the screen that's getting light.. I have a feeling I'll get more from this lady than my previous two plants I had in here before..

Ph 5.9 adjusted to 5.7
Moved a few bud sites to specific squares.. I know I'm a little ocdish..since I'm not training , only outer screen fir the lower branches still trying to reach up, I wanted to make sure all squares would have bud sites in them and one square wouldn't have 4 sites competing for light.. if that makes sense.. Anywho.. lights out shot.. everything will basically be like this except full of fat buds!.. after reading some more info.. these can actually produce a great yeild... I'm not very good at guessing.. any thoughts or guesses.. and at the end we can compare the results?.. I'm going to say 4oz, I hope dry..lol.. my guesstimate..

I did do a thread on the auto purple but cant remember which forum I did it in. Potency was there but I found it more of a "Novelty" smoke, I find it neet watchin friends faces when I throw them a pile of dark purple buds to roll up and they first notice it. Tasted great but I had 1 mutant plant that did not produce as much. But over all it was a pretty good plant to have in my garden, Easy as hell to grow. Tasted how it smelled like sweet Blueberry juice. I Finished the Auto Anubis two crops ago and will grow that one again. Grows a lot like an afghan plant and potent as hell. Give that one a try if you can.

The pic was taken about 4 hours after lights out.. making them droopy.. I think.. here's this morning's pics.. the leaves are perked right up. Ill Definately keep my eye on them. Thanks brotha fir looking out
