Just smoked a blunt of chemdog and am sitting here thinking of my plants, the one that will prob be done in 60 days is looking like it may give me 3/4 of an ounce at that... Some of the other auto look like they could go for 90days easily... My question why auto vs doing a photo
Grow of vegging for the weeks than switching to 12/12 alot photos say they flower in 8-12 weeks so that would be around same time as some autos but yiu would have
Saved money for cheaper seeds, less electricity etc? I mean I'm hooked on autos and am far to invested in them to switch now, but was just thinking

Autoflowering strains are preferred by some due to the fact that they flower under any amount of light. This means that there is no need for multiple growing chambers when running perpetual grows because all of the plants, whether in flowering or veg, can be housed in the same area.

Or another example is what I am doing. I have three auto's going and three photo's going. I veg the photos for 8 or 9 weeks, harvest the autos, and then switch to flowering for the photo plants.

On the contrary: You can mother and clone photoperiod plants and you never have to buy seeds if you keep her going. You can flower the clones immediately and produce "autoflower" like time period (8 or 9 weeks) you can also veg photoperiod plants for as long as you want to before switching her into flowering. It's fun to manipulate the veg cycle.

So it is really just preference.

Peace.
