im new to growing and i currently grow with hps. my question is what is a reliable led light and where would iorder one? ive heard people say watch out for knock offs so im trying to avoid that at all costs

@Ivorydoom420 well my man, it all depends on a couple things. Firstly, money of course. What do you have to spend. You can always PM me if uncomfortable.
Cheaper leds work, but with a couple down sides. Cost of repair and heat. and its so very hard to see the natural color of the plant due to the blurple specturm. Good luch seeing any calcium def. My Mars units work well, but when they go out you have to fix them yourself. And they produce a bit of heat. The upside is you can get a good mars unit, for cheap. in your case I would go with 2 300s, Mars 2 series. You can always start with one. It will be at least 80 degree in the tent if room temperature out side the tent especially at only 5 foot tall tent.so be prepared to buy exhaust fans.
Kind Leds are amazing. Not much heat at all and boy that pack a punch. But they are proud of em. So they cost a pretty penny bout 2 dollars a watt,lol. Still run that blurple spectrum so again hard to see plant and colors.
One other route, Amare tech. Canna specific lighting. White LED spectrum. Love mine.
150 watts got me just under 9 ounces.. on my AXT. Mephisto Genetics..
Now I run a 450 uvb in my 4x4. They are linkable as well, and 150 watts is 150 watts. Most led companies say it's 900 watts we it only pulls 480 from the wall.

I could afford 150 to 200 ish. I don't mind checking my plants away from the light so I'm cool on that. I have a 400w hps and temps are around 86 or so
Tell ya what, your very best bet would be Mars.
But another option, I think you'll find very appealing.
