I know that runoff ppm can’t be tested in natures living soil with accuracy but can it be tested to give me a “hint”? Should the runoff ppm be high or low in organic living soil with manure. Thanks for reading and clearing up my questions.

Pretty sure a PPM meter would useless in organic soil dude.

The runoff should give you an idea of how strong the stuff is or you could just do a good ole slurry test.If you are growing autos in it I would probably cut it in half with more soil,EWC or aeration material or place the full strength shit on the bottom. Can you list the ingredients and what not? I am not familiar.

it will be sky high when fresher soil used...and less as the materials is eaten and used up and ashed out. to essentially it would be lower than earlier if that's your question..?

Sorta, I’m just wondering if there’s anyone out there using amendments who have tested the runoff, my runoff is coming out at 300pm with one container that only has the bottom layer amended and 500 ppm for the container with a bottom layer and top layer of nls amendment. I started feeding teas and it’s now around 1000ppm, the plant got its color back after major yellowing and tip burn and lower leaves yellowing and browning to death. Petiole is red on the leaves. Bud formation is super low. Gorilla glue is almost 80 days old and buds are not forming very well and pistols are already dieing. Thinking of pulling it and starting over.

I’m seeing nutrient burn. Tips brown and some of the lower leaves are curling and browning to death. I flushed the plant and got the ppm down from 700 to 300. I’m thinking I fed to much cal mag to bc the runoff ph is 9! I was adding a 1tsp of go calmag+ to a gallon of distilled water which Brought the ppm to 300 for every watering. This is my first grow so I’m learning. I’m guessing it’s nute burn bc after I fed it some tea the very next day the lower leaves started dieing.

well, to be honest the style of growing your doing(not mentioning the soil types n stuff used with potential water issue(s)) is a pure hybrid of Chleated bottled feeding techniques checking the PH,EC and PPM which minus the PH,the EC and PPM are the same thing. More stuff?More of the other...Less of one and the other follows more often than not.Not with proper organics PH(once water and soil are tested at start of run maybe) isnt really involved nor is flushing and over wetting an organic soil isnt grea so you have an entire host of issues here my friend. Sorry to dead pan it for ya but thats the facts.it keep flip flopping from tired soil and the varied techniques along with the most likely cruddy soil to start with.Excellent veg soil thus far but flower isnt great and from that point the whole grow will go south the larger the plant is. like the saying,read ya mind and your ass'll follow LOL this isnt your fault man,not at all. just misinformation.next run assuming Im around hit me up and ill help you set up the start.THAT is whats key.and you will literally coast through a nice flower harvest.Promise lol

Don’t over think this stuff. Keep reading and learning. You are blessed as Eyes on Fire, Jraven and Hecno have shown interest. You are growing a weed. Simple shit. We were all beginners to start with.
