Ok so I picked up a complete CO2 system off CL for $20😎
In my research it would seem CO2 is best used starting mid flower. I’ve also heard that you should match the amount of CO2 to the amount of light you are using. Please verify the truth to this

The sensor reads in the 500 - 750 range. My light maxes out in the low 900’s ( tsl 2000 ) , so the next question is it worth it to fill the take and add extra co2 ?

Excellent find! $20 - I pay twice that just to fill the CO2 tank! Congrats.

From the perspective of the plant, there's no reason to wait until mid-flower to enhance CO2. If you're running autos, canopy closure is day 28± so adding CO2 that late is waaay late to the party (maximal yield size is locked in by the end of stretch which is why, for maximal yield, autos should be at 1k ASAP).

Re. matching PPFD to PPM—you can do that but, from the perspective of the plant, there's no need to do that.

Light is the primary input to the grow environment because it's the only input that can generate biomass. Increasing CO2 allows cannabis to process light more efficiently.

Dr. Mitch Westmoreland, formerly a PhD student under Dr. Bruce Bugbee, did some of this PhD work on the impact of CO2 enhancement on cannabis yields and his research came up with ~30% increase in yield.

Tents are not air tight so CO2 will "leak" out of the tent-that's just the way it works but, in terms of cost effectiveness, it's a no brainer. Check my signature block.
