Im about to make some dry ice hash for the first time here in a couple of weeks. My question is when making dry ice hash do you guys use fresh frozen trim or dried and frozen trim? I know for bubble hash people like to use fresh frozen but I havnt seen much on the dry ice hash specifying which one. Thanks everyone.

Wow dude, i just ask that in the thread before yours.
responce was fresh taste better, i have both at the monent but no time.

Yeah I saw your thread I just thought you were talking about bubble hash not dry ice hash. I guess they both do the same thing lol thanks for the response.

Either one WILL work bud, I cannot attest to the flavor of dried trim as I have only used fresh frozen trim and had 0 complaints about the end product. :)

Feel free to p.m me about anything to do with the process more than happy to help if ya need it bud

I use fresh dried sugar trim and cured flower when making dry ice hash.
Here's some of my results.

Start with quality and you'll end with quality.
Most important thing I'd say is keep your equipment clean.
Clean your bags after each run.:pass:

So you use dried sugar leaves? Do you keep them frozen after they are dried? Also do you only use the 73 or so you go all the way up to 220? Sorry for all of the questions

No problem @Iamlegend2121 :pass:
No I don't keep it frozen.
Prior to shaking I'll add my trim/flower to a 1 gallon cooler and add dry ice.
I'll let that sit for 5 minutes or so until it has frozen everything in the cooler. Shaking occasionally.
I store all my dried trim dry at room temp.
I like to use it for Rosin production as well, so I don't keep my trim in the freezer.
Generally I only use 3 bags for dry ice runs... 160,110 and 73.
This allows me to choose how I want to use the varying grades of hash. Smoke, edible, concentrates..

hey ronin, how long have you kept your trim or do you use it right away then ?
curious because you always have such nice product.

nice- hell i mean freaking awesome.
forgive me, i must have been having a blonde moment . hahaha

Thanks @oldcoot :pass:
I have some trim that is a year old.
Mostly I use it within a few months.
I've had to start storing the dried trim in jars the same as I would bud.
Living in the high altitude desert tends to dry things out quickly.
