I grow in a cool basement, I've been wondering about re-circulating air after filtering so I can run a small heater and humidifier in my tent. Any reasons why this would be a bad idea are most welcome. I work in the HVAC trade so I've got lots of ideas but as far as practical indoor growing knowledge....not so much lol! Also considering a uv light inline to sterilize the air. Looking forward to your suggestions!

I setup a tent in my basement for a while and I put half the exhaust back into the tent to keep the heat up. Seemed to work fine, but I only ran it for a month before moving the tent.

Another thing you can do is make it night time in your tent during the day. For example run your lights from 7pm to 7am so that they are on during coldest time of the day.

Good luck!

Ideally and for the long term, you really need to have a window cracked for a fresh air source.

I ran a couple humidifiers to keep my VPD in range for about the first 4 weeks and now in week 5 it's De-humidifiers. As for a heater that will depend more on the lights that you are using.
My tent is in my 64-66 degree basement I decided to use blow filtered air into the tent so i wouldn't be sucking in mold spores from my basement into my grow tent. I also have an exhaust fan set on a controller for high heat and humidity that can be vented through a filter into the basement or straight outside. Here's some pics, with you being in HVAC you'll understand what i did.
