Anyone else re-hydrating packs? I do it. After several weeks they do dry out but I think it depends on how much air exposure they I getting as to how long they will stay moist. Once they firm up and get hard I put them in a container with a smaller container of distilled water inside. I don't let the packs get wet from the water. Then I close the container and few days later they feel hydrated and like they were when new.

But I've always wondered if this is legit or not. Do the packs still work like they are supposed to?

Seems like you have it. Based on their explaination of how it works. I may also suggest try using hydrogen peroxide in leui of or in addition to distilled water possibly to speed up the rehydrating process..

Fire one off for me [emoji108] HG

I think it must be. I play classical guitar and the dehumidifier packs they use are just like the Boveda's and to bring them back to life the process is what you described.
