Thanks JayP! Yeah they are coming right along now! After their watering/silica blasting lol last night they have grown vertically, starting to space out between nodes a bit. Thanks for the kind words. Yes things will be just fine then!

Update...

Some where I read Astro state he believes if you sow the seeds right into the soil it makes for a stronger seedling. So far I've found that to be true. I've also found it much quicker than germinating in paper towels, then putting them in the dirt and waiting for them to pop up after that... Used to take 3-7 Days to complete the process of getting a seedling above dirt... Now it takes 2 days! :howdy: That's what I'm talkin' about!!

Also, I would like to note... This Indica Dom pheno -- Buckeye Smash #2... Is the one I shall be looking for to stablize. Got her dried and sitting at 65% RH at the moment... This is the taste I've been looking for in her (Juicy Fruit) and the bud density of the Grandmother. She's a Chunky Monkey! Burns slow due to her above average trich coverage... so sticky I had to scrape the trimmers 4 times just trimming her alone. She'll make fine QWISO! And I do believe I got her at "prime time" I will get exact flowering time but right between 45-60 days flowering... when she's good and ripe! WOO WEE. Can't wait for second opinions on this strain!! You know what bro... Those two were Kush Bush's (F1 #3) offspring... Those weren't even from the Juicy Fruit Pheno (F1 #4)... BUT #3 DID have the Juicy Fruit smell strong early on then it rounded off to plain sweet and lost the total Juicy Fruit that #4 kept the whole way through flowering to finish. So I'ma hoping this means she's a dominant product from the original cross... Because I never had an Assassin taste of Juicy Fruit and I've grown more Assassin than anything. I've never had an Afghan Kush taste of Juicy Fruit either but I've not grown many of them just smoked em. So I'm curious as to where it's coming from. Glad to see ya back on the boards bro! I'm sure your girls were happy to see you! You know that CJ is a favorite in this house! I'm hyped up for the Sour60 too... That is just a wicked good strain. Rebel gives Sour60 two thumbs WAY up! :thumbs::thumbs:

Hey Swampbro! Here's the story of the Buckeye Smash... Just for you. And since I'm high on it right now, why not!? LMAO!!

Last Summer of 2011 I was up in the North East and happened to score some Landrace Afghan Kush... Oh it was divine... This shit was like 5-6 hits and you're done... we can smoke an ounce a week but this ounce lasted nearly 3 weeks! Lady Reb is a bud hoarder. Especially if it's top top quality like that was. Low and Behold the very buds she put away had 4 seeds in them... So I dropped two of them with some Burmese Kush and Auto Assassin... amongst other autos... Well, Assassin is still one of my VERY favorites... I still remember the very SPOT, the very MOMENT I smoked Assassin the first time and it was like somebody shot THC in my veins! I was soaring instantly! Felt amazing. SO I decided... why not take that Afghan and dust her with one of my very best Assassin males... And thus Buckeye Smash was born.

Now the name is another story LOL quickly.... I knew the name should be as heavy hitting as the cross. So as you know (as we are both College Football Hounds!) I LOVE my Ohio State Buckeyes... (I see you shaking your head *no* as a Bayou Bengal fan LOL but bear with me!) I'm playing NCAA College Football 2011 one day and playing as the Bucks and as you know the auto play calling is usually lame, so I like to pick my own plays... I'm scrolling through and I see "Buckeye Smash". I go "THAT'S IT! THAT'S IT!!!" The Wife goes "what? what??" I say "Buckeye Smash!! That's what we should name the Affy Assassin cross!!!" So that's how it got it's name... How we got to the Juicy Fruit is another short story! LMAO!

Meanwhile back at the closet.... This summer of 2012 rolls around and I get Photoperiod happy and decide I'm growing some Buckeye Smash F1s out... I dropped 6. Got 5 females. 1 Male. All showed sex under 20/4 (early showing photos) but didn't start flowering until put to 12/12. The male was the best male I've EVER seen. EVER. He was just as gorgeous as the females! He IBL'd all his sisters... by the way this was all documented in my WVR Photo Thread... You can see these two ladies' Mother and Father (and Aunties ) there in that thread. I'm pretty sure they are towards the end too so not much digging to do. Anyway I got 5 different Phenos. 1 smelled and tasted of Black Licorice. 2 smelled of Black Licorice a bit but rounded off to pure affy toward the end. 3 was a "Kush Bush" and had like 25 satellite colas. She started out smelling like Juicy Fruit Gum but rounded off to just sweet fruit. 4 was straight up Juicy Fruit all the way. 5 was a Sativa Dom that was extremely keify and was clear over 4 foot. She was so white with trichs she looked frosty.

If I haven't lost you by now lol these two I just harvested were Kush Bush's (#3) offspring. However, #2 that last one there, was just like her Aunt Juicy Fruit. so that's all the talk of Juicy Fruit... I hope to have them worked fully auto soon. It will take lots of time but I'm gonna do it right. As best I can anyway... She is a fast finishing Photo as it is... So I'm hoping some autos will show their heads soon!

And that my friend is how the Buckeye Smash was born!
