The roots of the cannabis plant have not been studied much, so most people don't know that they have healing powers also.

The roots have no THC. The two alkaloids in roots are cannabisativine and isocannabisativine.

I have read that a topical made of roots will cure staph infection.
Personally, the Rub I make with roots helps with sore muscles and has helped a rash my daughter had.

What you will need:
crock pot with a lid
water
roots
coconut oil
pitcher
wax
electric wisk

1) Put roots, water and coconut oil in crock pot.

2)With crock pot on med/high simmer roots for 6 hours or longer.
3) Strain water and oil out of the roots into a pitcher

4) Put pitcher in refrigerator for a few hours.

5) To get the puck of root oil out of the pitcher, I warm the outside with my hands. This softens the edges and you can pop it out.

6)I cut off enough of the puck to make 1/2 cup.
Put this in a double boiler and warm it up. I use a bowl in a pot, if you do this use something to keep it off the bottom of the pan. I use a canning jar lid.
You want to keep it on low, do not boil the water.

7)Put grated wax in the oil. For 1/2 a cup of root oil I use 7 Tablespoons wax.

8)Take oil off the stove and cool a little. You can add essential oil like Lavender oil about 3 drops. I also put 1/8 tsp. vitamin E in.

9)Cool until oil is almost solid, then wisk til peeks form.

This works great for sore muscles and helps with skin conditions.

also, what ype of vitamin E? Are you familiar with Red Palm oil? "high in tocopherols", if you're familiar at all..

Root Rub Really Rocks!

That rub is good stuff. I can attest. Really I was skeptical at first, but after 10 minutes my elbow felt better.

From what I read it will work well with the coconut oil in the topicals I make.

It is anti-ageing "fight off the effects of free radicals and keep skin looking younger."

heals burns and cuts
fights skin cancer
precancerous lesions disappear
protects against UV rays
comparable to SPF 15 sunscreen
 
I am not sure that is correct, and you should be seeing a dentist every six months anyway.

Also, Root66 just wants to use in TOPICAL treatments, however...

I don't think it was these medical experts who say that. However, it IS an oil, and over use could be bad. But we are not frying chicken with it, Though many countries in Northern africa and and the middle east, like isreal, and egypt, use it as everyday cooking oil. Here we use it as just a supplement, and as such is usually safe except for a few folks taking ant-coagulants

How does it work?
Palm oil contains saturated and unsaturated fats, vitamin E, and beta-carotene. It might have antioxidant effects.

Possibly Effective for:
Preventing a lack of vitamin A (vitamin A deficiency). There is some evidence that adding palm oil to the diet of pregnant women and children in developing countries might reduce the risk of developing vitamin A deficiency.

Possibly Ineffective for:
Decreasing symptoms of malaria, when added to the diet of young children (less than 5 years old) in developing countries.

Insufficient Evidence for:
High blood pressure.
Cyanide poisoning.
Other conditions.
More evidence is needed to rate the effectiveness of palm oil for these uses.

Palm oil is safe when consumed in amounts found in foods. It seems to be safe when taken as medicine by children or adults for up to 6 months.
Special Precautions & Warnings:
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Palm oil has been used safely as a medicine during pregnancy for up to 6 months.

Moderate Interaction Be cautious with this combination
Medications that slow blood clotting (Anticoagulant / Antiplatelet drugs) interacts with PALM OIL
Palm oil might increase blood clotting. Taking palm oil along with medications that slow clotting might reduce the effectiveness of these medications.
Some medications that slow blood clotting include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), diclofenac (Voltaren, Cataflam, others), ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others), naproxen (Anaprox, Naprosyn, others), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox) heparin, warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

The following doses have been studied in scientific research:

BY MOUTH:
For preventing vitamin A deficiency: about 3 tablespoons (9 grams) per day of palm oil for adults and children over age 5. About 4 tablespoons (12 grams) per day for pregnant women. For children less than 5 years old, 2 tablespoons (6 grams) per day.
