Recycling My Rev's Soil.

Well I went around n got all my roots that I grew organic n cut the heavier main feeder roots off n tossed the Stalk n feeders to the side and chopped all of them up about 2-5 inches long and got a couple gallons of my really hot soil n threw it in with some cal mag water and Molasses to start the process and ill add to it as I cut down my grow over the next couple weeks er so.But thats what Ive done and the future goings on ta help keep my mind occupied.

Oh ill be adding a whole 4LB bag of crabshell as well as a cpl cups of Lime to break down and blend over a couple few months.but thats after Im at full size in my batch though...so.and a little of this meal n that but not a lot.man Im stoked to use it again and work it one more time.

well thanks fer swingin in...I think its 4:20 somewhere right!..?! sooo lets burn one.:smoke:

Just about got enough

Got about 25 gallons.bout what I started with.I was a lil closer to 30 I think.but Im gonna add to it with some really good stuff here shortly. If Im lucky ill be able to improve on it ever so slightly.that'd be cool.ill keep ya posted, just in time for a few month cook, and bust it out for the winter indoors.Have a good one ya'll.till next time.

I did btw chop those roots up in smaller pieces and mixed them in decent.used a small bit of molasses and honey mix with a milght kelp tea mix again.and one more time once items are added then for the long wait.lol."AFN smoke out""AFN smoke out"

Final Additives added

Hey ya'll.Just got the second to last thing added to mi soil and ill have my last item by mid week and then I can let it sit n cook n stew away for a couple months.I'll be adding Insect Frass too.Thats my last hold out for my last mixing.i'll be using 2/3 to 3/4 cup per 1 square foot or per every 7 gallons of mix.also, Ive added Biochar bloom and grow.both at a 10% per volume.I personally think its a bit more since I always go a little heavy on additives like that biochar.i also added 20 Lbs of casting and 4Lbs of crabshell and 3/4 cup of lime on top of a sprinkle of this n that n kelp meal n the other thing..LOL!so.needless to say I think it should turn out well and I have high hopes for it.Im really starting to get excited again about growing again and using the last bit of insect frass in my veg teas n so on.I have many newer items that'll be a ton of fun to use.and yeah I have two other manures and a few separate foods for the super cool bugs.but using recycled soil and quality additives,Im excited to grow with this stuff this fall or winter.Take care everyone and go catch a fine fuzzy body buzz already..lol"AFN smoke out"

Awesome work eyez! do you take any soil pH readings or just let your live soil take care of the buffering? It'd be cool to see how it changes over time and if or when it stabilises

I'll be doing something similar with my veggy garden outdoor soil but storing it over the winter for next spring, maybe add some some stuff in the fall than more in March

Have a great weekend man!

:peace:

Hey ya Gilly dude.Hows the weekend shaping up man?any wild n crazy drunken streaking parties goin down?..lol

Well to be honest,Ive yet to take a soil PH reading if you can believe that.ill take a couple in a few weeks when I blend it again and add to it slightly for the next session of sleep. But I added enough Lime and since its still the Revs mix just lightly buitly upon since I had the book right there,I just added small bits since the roots contain all those nutes as well. But I usually have been letting it buffer it out.the only thing I'll will PH in organics so far are my much hotter Booster Tea concentrates.but other than that it's done well.and earlier in the grow I wasnt PHing anything and wroked the crap outta the soil.it was buffering it from High 4 PH to about a high 5 or low 6..lol.it couldnt handle that for long.but after a few day flush with outdoor rains,or indoor flushing(which I did do a little)it worked itself out quite nicely.I was very pleased.saves you a lot of work if you PH get all hosed up..lol.I HATE HATE HAATE chasing PH if it gets outta control...lol.

but ill take a couple here n there.:pass:

I like the sounds of drunken streaking! Will hafto wait for tomorrow tho, keeping it low key tonight just smokin some AK brotha

Ye I didn't recall you ever really mentioning pH that's pretty awesome just let yer soil do the work! Your grows prove they buffer well so keep on rockin that organic brew

:peace:

yeah,ya gots me curious so I went n let the probe sit in the soil for a few.its slowly moving from a 6.6 to 6.8 and back to 6.6...lol. which is exactly where I like to see her too.low six, high 6 or low 7,I can work with..lol.Im just doing the sample platter tonight man.P3,Tangelo(gonna make a lil Tangelo Hash oil I think...maybe.)and gonna smoke the ball of hash from my dutch auto trim session with the P3's too.smaller ball O scissor hash but its often better when it sits for several days and levels out n dries out slightly.way better imo..."AFN smoke out"
