I'm about 20 days in on growing a double gum auto, but last few days I have noticed my main stem and stalks are now the colour of raw rhubarb.

I got her under a 2700k cfl.. no nutes just water and bio feed sticks in the soil.

I have read a lot of different things like.. mag def.. phosphorus def.. it could just its genetics and it tells you its a female plant.. I have some pics up on my grow journal but it don't really show the colour.

Any help would be appreciated.

could be alot of things ...sit tight and see what happens before you freak too much trying to over analyze it ...if it gets worse get back mid week :wiz::wiz::wiz:

Some strains show that color on main stems and leaf stems and it's normal for this to happen. It has happened to me on several plants and as long as your leaves are looking good it's nothing to worry about.:smokebuds:

Some of my bottom leaves are only developing on one side.. I'd say 3 altogether are like that. THere's also questions about the sex.. I've got it in with two other seedlings and I don't want them being changed if it is a male... WOuld I be best to just toss it and keep the other 2 going or give it another few days ?

THanks guys

Don't toss it until you know the sex.If your having a hard time telling sex, let us no and we will help you.

I got pics up on my grow journal of it, but people said it looks too early to tell yet.

Yes, could be genetic or a P deficiency and on plants that young, most likely genetic. How's your pH? If your pH is off it could be causing P to be locked out. Also, how are your temps? Low soil temps, in the 50s, can also inhibit the plant's ability to uptake P.

My last grow (and current reveg grow) of Sweet Tooth had seriously red stalk and stems. The reveg grew out normal looking but as the plant aged it came back just like round 1. It had me worried during round 1 because of how red the stalk and stems were. It turned out to be the strongest and highest yielding grow I have had to date. It was definitely genetics in my case.
