I wasnt talking about having the lower ones get bigger per say man.I ment more that they seem to spin up a little nicer and happen to be small still ,just a little tighter.and instead of me having little airy flowers to pull n trim off most of the time for oils n such,I have some small popcorners ta smoke on.But if I take many of my plants at around 10-30% Amber.so your saying I should try and let one go for an extra 10 days to 3 weeks with the leaves on ofcourse...? ok ill give that a shot with one of my autos this grow.ill play(as I normally would)with all of em as I do n leave one fully leafed..lol.yeah Ive always used Tucking, boxing ,and plucking to maintain the best result for me n Im happy, but if ya say for a FACT I can get better yeilds with my T-5's and pretty much everything else..yes?soo,ill give it a no shit, honest try in a few weeks when they start gettin a wee bit bigger."AFN smoke out"its admittedly been a bit since Ive done that, but I have done my own small trial.but I have been growing a little longer now..so...![]()
looking forward to your results
i understand what you mean about your lowers being airy
please listen to this as it is based on my own experience in determining when a plant is ready ,,,,,,,,
looking at the trichomes tells me the top 3/4 of the plant is nearing ready , 30-50% have begun to amber , however , lower buds have only recently stopped producing fresh white pistils , for the last however many years ive let my plants continue to go until the lowers do their final growth spurt , sure they dont get bigger , they do get a bit fatter n heavier though , just like how many of you see them get when you have removed leaves , the only difference is that i didnt lose out on yield from the upper buds like the leaf pullers do (dont try to tell me they dont because thats just not true) , it might take my plants 3 weeks longer due to all of this , but when you look at the complete picture they didnt in fact take 3 weeks longer , they took the amount of time they needed to "PROPERLY" and "FULLY" finish and i didnt take them 3 weeks early , long story short , let your lowers tell you when the plant is ready , your uppers wont degrade and you will be very happy with the quality and results
articles written and published by places such as hightimes are often flashy looking/sounding and good at fooling people into believing info that is actually damaging to newer inexperienced growers , info myself and others have spent decades on debunking , but these jerks (imo) continue going out of their way to promote these methods because they think it makes sense to them and if they tell the world about it they will become important
but guess what , it was once thought the world was flat
