Lighting Replacing 400W HPS with LED...need advise

Settle down there little buddy. Your friends here not cock block you (LOL), rather we
will engage your brain with our wisdom. I remember my first grow. Ugly fricking mess
but I smoked it anyway. I did not have a choice but I knew I would get better. I am very good
now but I am so excited to see where the LED COB technology will take me. Probably to the moon.
By the way I grow organic with my LED's something short of nirvana. Ask BigSm0 some questions and
you will get a straight and solid answer. He is not a used car salesman. He is on the cutting edge of
this latest growing technology that is available to the masses. Good luck and here....try one of mine......
:pass:
very nice eh?

White-POD, my head was spinning just from searching LED brands, now this COB stuff is going to put me over the edge...hang on....bong hit comin up...:weed:(pauses)...okay, that's better!

Tina thank you for the info! I am still seriously thinking about the 144...

White-pod, for some reason I can't see the pics you are posting?
Do I have to do any soldering? I seriously suck at soldering! lol, but I am a DIY kind of guy...I have built Cigar Box Guitars and bass guitars, even electric ones, but my soldering is just horrific...It is a very scary idea...I have a million questions I would like to ask someone who has made a successful COB...Like how much light I would need for my 4x2x5 tent? What parts I would need, what tools would I need, how long does it take to complete a light or even if I would be saving major $$ by building my own?
Fire hydrant? More like a 500 foot dam collapsed on me! lol
It's OK, if you decided to purchase the reflector 144, you can pm me.
If you want the COB light, you can ask @BigSm0 , he made his own COB light.

there is a DIY led forum were people build their own grow lights

OK here's my opinion. I'm using two 96 reflectors and a 400 hps . The 96s are more versatile if u want to move them into different spots and actually cover more of an area because they aren't together panel wise. Try the hybrid grow for real mine is turning out well.

I went with 2 Mars II 400w led panels...Haven't hung them yet...can I hang these right away? I have 1 seedling about 2 weeks old and 1 seedling a day old under my 400w HPS...Also, I have seen people that have 2 panels, hang them at an angle? Any advantages to this? Thanks everyone for your input!! :smoking:
