New Grower Roots

does anybody know how far out the roots are extending after the seeds have popped 1 or 2 weeks on?

In soil roots can reach the bottom of a 3 gallon pot easy in that time. In hydro you can have a tap root 2 feet long(60cm) in 2 weeks.

Wow,thank you, that explains why its not good to transplant. I Usually start in a 8 inch pot with the bottom cut out and then carefully slip it in a 8 inch hole in the final pot before slipping the 8 inch pot off.
