Hi folks .
I saw this site on SS ,one or two members commented on it .
I'm only on two other sites and I don't post as much I have a few years ago . Just as eager though .
I've been growing indoors and out for ten years + ,but since 2008 I have never really stopped . Good soil in remote and isolated places is hard to come by . However there's lots of forestry and bogs but most of the time this requires bringing in coco and compost .
Anyway it was a bad year and at the moment I have some photo period plants in my attic . A few strains but c99 x exodus cheese and ak47 cherry pheno x Colombian black are the only odd or unusual ones .
I'm wondering though whether to change my style ,and grow autos in winter . Or start a dozen or so autos whilst vegging clones and then flip the lights when the autos are half or more than half way through their life cycle . I don't know really. I could run 20/4 and keep the cuts restricted . The attic space I'm using loses heat very fast . I've a 600w HPS up there and I'm vegging with a 250w MH in a dr90 in my bedroom .
I've germed some dinafem autos and I bough a mix pack from sweet seeds . I do find they're a little pricey when buying small . I hold off for promotions !
I only make hacks with autos ,and I've only ran a few generations of a short stuff backcross with sweet seed auto . They were ok outside but I wouldn't have a lot of confidence in them inside .
I am most interested in growing some of these vigorous seed that are out there now . Only the better producing ruderalis leaning strains do take a bit longer from what I've gathered reading diaries . So I'm too impatient for a 100+ day auto ,and I don't believe the stats on seed packs . Only for forums eh ?
With autos and outdoor plants generally ,I think over seeding a little is a safe bet . I have yet to get ten decent autos from a ten seed pack . There's always a runt or two !
Take it handy folks
