Indoor SCH & Chaze done wrong

Well, the Supers are no closer to finishing, IMO. If anything, they caught a second wind. I didn't bother getting the scope out last week, and probably won't this week, either. I didn't see anything amber while pixel-peeping this update (which is good - I don't need many amber trichs for my purposes); except, oddly, on some of the lower CG buds. Go figure.

hello bro

your in the tipical problem with indoor finishing Superautos...u must now cut every kind of nutrients and down the might regimen to 12/12....in one point for sure you did follow with some growin nuts an d she did feel it, so this is why your top buds restart to grow....do not forget that as i said many tiles ago, SuperAutos can reveg and give two crops and here you did the right stuff to reveg....so if u want to harvest the plants,....low the light regimen and just give pure PK or pure water

Thanks, Stitch. That's exactly what's going on. I did slip 'em a tsp/gal of FF Big Bloom the last two weeks. Just because it was there. For the rest of the grow, I just alternated between a tsp/gal honey and a tsp/gal molasses. I actually cut an hour off the light last week, down to 15/9. I'll knock it down to 12/12 tomorrow. And hide the nutes better, so I'm not tempted.

Nice catch.

wow, amazing plants...definitely a GOOD problem to have. I know a lot of guys finish pure photo hazes under 10/14...makes sense to go to 12 or 11 hrs. light to get them to ripen up properly. Awesome job, definitely NOT done wrong!!!

Now that we're back on 12/12, the elderly crippled CG got back into the tent. Although I suspect she's done about all she's going to - unless she responds dramatically in the next week or two. Indeed, the re-vegged "landrace" [it isn't, I only use that descriptor because WOS inexplicably did] will probably be the first girl taken down. Both because she seems to have stalled, and because I need the container.

The SCH is ripening from the bottom up. I could probably take those bottom buds now, but that's also where the pollen went, so I'll let 'em cook. The smell varies quite a bit. Sometimes citrus dominant, sometimes fuel dominant, but always with a hash/incense/spice undertone. But it always really fires the "Hey, let's smoke this!" receptors in my brain.

Chaze just keeps on keepin' on. Smells strongly of skunk, with occasional hints of bleu cheese and camembert, and an undertone of hash/incense.

I didn't want to say anything so close to St. Valentine's day, but the Super girls are starting to put on weight. Finding a jar big enough to cure the Chaze's cola is starting to be a legitimate concern. May have to use a plastic container. Woe is me.

While the Supers have gotten thirstier, the Cg has slowed her drinking. So I'll take her down the next time I'm feeling industrious. I guess she won't make it to her birthday after all.

One down.
World of Seeds Colombian Gold (my #6).
Popped 4/20 2012.
Harvested 10/6 2012 [67g cured plus seeded branches] after 20 weeks 12/12 and 17 weeks of flower.
Went 18/6 on, I think, 10/15.
Started to re-veg 10/29.
Back to 12/12 on, I think, 11/28.
Re-flowering by 12/5.
Re-harvested 2/22/2013.
So...
307 days/44 weeks from seed,
20 weeks from last harvest,
17 weeks from re-veg,
12 weeks from 2nd 12/12,
and 79 days/11 weeks from 2nd flowering.
Heck of a trooper, this gal. May she rest in urn.

hey my friend

this is now looking much more better then two/three weeks before, buds formation is better than ever, good looking structure on the lower ones of the Chaze...
I'm a bit surprised in a way and not so much in another about the fact that lowers ones are as they should be, when the top bud is still like in middle flowering stage...normally top ones mature first than lower ones due to light distance, but as i know my SuperAutos reaction,.....indoor,.....at the time you do even a small mistake as you did adding some small amount of grow nuts at the flo stage, top buds restart to grow due to closer light distance and this is exactly what did happen to you on both plants...
Here guys you have a tip on my SuperAutos strains that i did never said in open forums, but from today you know it ;)
In normal situation you wouldn't have to turn light to 12/12 or 10/14, but Stayed in 16/8 or 18/6 to get best results, but i said to lower regime due to your problem

:)

Thanks, Stitch, my friend.

Always happy to set a bad example.

Heck, it has been the theme of this thread since day one. Sure, I had my doubters. There were even those who wanted to rename the thread. But I knew I'd be doing a pretty wide variety of bad/misguided/interesting things here - and that not all would work out. I'd hoped that some or all would end up instructive for somebody. Or, at the least, humorous. Didn't see this one coming though.

No harm, no foul. They're both still doing better than I expected, given that I'm pretty much growing them in the opposite manner from which they were designed to grow. Even then, I think the structure of the Chaze is a thing of beauty, and I'm dying to set fire to some of the SCH. Well bred, Sir.

Meanwhile, this week I started doing something else to the Chaze that I never do, and don't normally think does anything but harm the plant - and that is: pulling off some mostly healthy fan leaves. Even the leaves that are yellowing at the tips are still seriously vigorous. But I felt compelled to do it so that: 1) some more light gets to the lower buds - just in case they want to do something with it, 2) I get better air circulation around what are becoming pretty fat nugs to reduce the chance of humidity caused complications, and if I'm being honest, 3) so I can get a better look at what's going on in there. But I feel justified in this case because the darn Chaze is SO vigorous that there are several layers of foliage to keep feeding her and none of her fans has been consumed naturally. Or at least not more than 1/3 of the way down the leaf.
