What is daily light integral?

Basically the amount of light multiplied by the hours of exposure per day. An easy example of 600 watts over photos vs 300 watts over autos.
Autos 300 watts times 24 hours per day is 7200 watts per day.
Photos 600 watts times 12 hours per day is 7200 watts per day.
The same amount of light per day when one autos are using a lights that’s 1/2 the wattage
Basically what I have seen over the past year+ here is guys getting info from photo period predominant forums and bringing this info back here to auto growers. “50 watts per square foot” with autos that’s like 100 watts per square foot under 24 hours combined with the general sensitivity of autos. I’d personally take 200 watts in a 4x4 over 400 watts any day. Heck I do it now and pretty much have unlimited access to lights.

DAY 15. The first problem has shown its face and i do not know what it could be. Pictures below.

gbd super soil mix
roots original
earthworm castings
extra perlite

Mammoth p @ 1ml per gallon
Rhizotonic @ 5ml per gallon
Recharge @ 1tbls per gallon Day 7 and Day 14

Distilled water from air stone oxygenated res.
One liter of water every other day.
Today i started 2 liters of water.

Temps 74-79
Humidity 45-57

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

GBD soil I think lacks cal/mag.. I’m not certain but I believe a few growers in this forum have used GBD and always had to supplement with cal/mag. Plus, it looks like start of cal/mag def. to me... which is relatively easy fix. Do you have any on hand? Looks like your doing a great job. Plants and setup look amazing! Can’t wait to see that tent full up!!

my bad man, forgot to add that I'm also using general organics calmag @ 5ml per gallon.

Super soil in theory is more geared towards the flower stage. I don’t think it’s GBD’s mix per se. For the soil growers maybe finding a good source of nitrogen to mix at the start added with gypsum could help? Or supplementing with a 16-16-16 until you get to flower? I’m noticing COB growers including myself noting the green depleting quicker than expected. The lights are great and intense in a good way. I remidied my issue with sea grow 16-16-16 which is semi organic. Hope you find something that works for you.

I also don't agree thats its gbd's mix. Ive never seen any other journals with this problem so far. Really hope its nothing and that the calmag works its magic, if thats what it is.

Anytime! I’ve read that we could raise our lights to lessen the intensity but I don’t have more room to go. Maybe if you do have room you could experiment with that. I can dial mines up or down with a knob but I like the intensity on full power and am working to dial in with my regimen. Good luck to ya and I’ll be watching to see how you keep the girls green.

Funny you should say that because i just dropped the lights from 36inches to 24inches today.
