Indoor Second grow... Hope it goes better

Well I'm planning my second grow. The first grow wasn't succesful by any means. Only lasted a couple weeks lol. But I have to say I really did learn a lot tho. It truly is trial an error. I'm anxious to try this again. Here is what my first grow was: 5 northern lights by 00 seeds
1 narcotic kush by cream of the crop
1 sugar mango Ryder
Botanicare ReadyGRO aeriation mix
3 gallon grow bags
Digital 400 watt hps light
I started all these under the HID lamp and I noticed that they really stretched allot. Someone told me that if I was starting them under an HID lamp to keep it far away so it won't burn the seedlings. Mistake #1. I was only running the ballast at 50% so I could have moved it a lot closer. I also over watered them which is what did them in. That readygro stuff seemed to hold water a lot better then what the guy told me at the shop. So I'm gonna give this another try.
2nd grow: 4 anesthesia autos from pyramid seeds
1 auto critical mass from world of seeds
3 gallon grow bags
Happy frog soil or psyco coco peat not sure yet have both any opinions? Prolly add some perlite to whatever I use.
2' by 4 bulb T5 for seedlings
400 watt digital MH/HPS for veg/bloom any opinions here would be appreciated.
An I will grow these in a grow tent.

I will keep updates. Feel free to comment. I'd love to here the feedback and insight from veteran growers.

My plan was to sprout these under the T5s then switch to the MH after a couple weeks for a few weeks and then when I switch to bloom nutes I was gonna switch to the HPS. Anybody think this will work well? Everything I have read people use the HPS all the way through the grow. I noticed they stretch a lot. Mine especially stretched a lot because my light was too high to start off.
