New Grower Seed embryo

I popped some fairly fresh seeds (dried for almost a month) and popped them in some distilled water most of them all cracked in less than 12hrs, the problem is one of them cracked right on open dumping a full unbroken embryo in the water, I carefully removed said embryo and planted it about 1/8 to 1/4" down in soil, is it a goner before it even had a start? As I thought the shell was suppose to supply it nutrients to grow... Or will it now get it from the soil?

The seed casing doesn't provide any nutes for the plant,The young seedling gets a small amount of nutes from the firstr seed leaf that opens.

Ahh so thans there is still hope for the little one? Will be curious if it pops...

I've never heard of that but ya never know, it could turn out for the best and take off like a rocket!!
