mdanzig has some bog genetics in his autos i dont think bog does autos
quick q guys you got me confused it mentioned auto trait is dom but it does not show in f1 when crossing with a photo so is this not recessive?

quickly... first off all my data of knowledge exists for two auto strains... LR based... and Mighty Mite crosses... I'm sure of LR and I am unsure of MM... Just dont have MM x NON auto breed to F5 data... Now Lr... In a LR x non auto cross, not all outcomes of a recessive or dominance trait can be determined in a F1 cross, I preach all the time to learn your strains and traits... So you make a F1 cross what happens... one observation is that the flowering time is already cut way down, not in indoor days of flowering, but when observed outdoors it is noted that in ALL F1 crosses there is a dramatic drop in flowering initiation. This is a direct result of the auto gene. Later in F2 and so on we see this gene shine thru in complete dominance, un-stoppable... you never need to breed auto x auto to get a full auto... I tell everyone breed for potency... you cross your best known non auto strain to any LR based genetics and from F1 to full auto only breed for potency... by F3 or 4 you will be picking thru #s of both auto and regular phenos... but limiting yourself to only auto phenos is cutting yourself short and breeding for just a LR side of "offspring"...

Now full circle back to auto gene... what we have today is two types of seed sellers, ones who hide behind a curtain of deception, and ones who are completely str8 forward... Big fat deceptions are everywhere and easy to point out... "rudy"...canadian "rudy" russian "rudy"... you know what I'm saying... Its a nasty seed biz, and larger breeding houses want to cover up the genetic trail... and they do it with there greed for seed sales. Since I have been growing from the late eighties I saw Sensi seed selling ruderalis, then from BC Mighty Mite showing up(early nineties)... Marc Emery sold the hell out of MM, crossed it to everything and sold millions. Now there is claims of all sorts of autos of different origins...

here is a trail of the genetics I'm using...

thanks for the reply it just confused me that so many good seed breeders have auto plants that did not auto if the gene was that dominant im far from an expert on breeding but trying to brush more up on my skills as one

i would not thought f2 xf3 would make an true f1 with such similar genes

when you see people with seeds that dont auto... its because there selling a F3 or F4 thats simply not fully auto yet... even in a F5 you can find a very small # of not complete auto phenos.. So if you sell 1000 seeds someone will hit that 1 non auto seed...

F2 x F3 same strain? auto x auto = auto.. is that what your asking?

Hi guys,
since this discussion is occurring here I have to ask:
when i bought some auto BB a couple years ago I let 2 males pollinate a nice big female. I saved all those seeds and have been growing them out. Are those selfed?
So assuming the seeds I got were f2 (to just pick a number) are my seeds that I made f3? s1? s2?

In plants

"Crosses between inbreds from different heterotic groups result in vigorous F1 hybrids with significantly more heterosis than F1 hybrids from inbreds within the same heterotic group or pattern. Heterotic groups are created by plant breeders to classify inbred lines, and can be progressively improved by reciprocal recurrent selection.
Heterosis is used to increase yields, uniformity, and vigor. Hybrid breeding methods are used in maize, sorghum, rice, sugar beet, onion, spinach, sunflowers, broccoli and cannabis."

but if there from an in bred line how can they have different heterotic groups thus no f1 hybrid vigour or is f1 just thrown around as a general term

no a self'ed seed is a female seed... If you dont know the history of the strain you can only consider your first generation as a F1... because it is your F1.. now if you knew from the previous breeder the auto BB is an F6... then you could say I made the BB F7

Who carries them? Do they make autos? Th seeds is another company that seems to encourage people to learn the basics:

I like the guys philosophy, might try one of their strains down the rd... Though I think with the upcoming dragons and the highrise gear and what I currently (have a few of stitches gear im looking forward to growing soon as welhttp://youtu.be/GvnmN0ahknol) have ill be set I think.. For life... LOL! I'm a cannabis junkie though I can't help but to want to try different things... I really was like a kid in a candy shop when I went to the 'dam.... I feel holland calling me again ;) though with all going on personally I don't see that happening soon... Ahh the memories though :)

Beanho' is at HempDepot and BOG is on the ICmag site store...neither have distinctly auto selections, but per Cres' lesson in autoflower breeding, having a couple grade AAA photos around is always useful when working with auto genetics ;-)

that chart just made everything a little easier to understand!

:slap: for sharing the growing journey/notes :booya:

thats the work behind some of the gear I'm working... I didnt breed that chart... my work is after I got what was breed in there...or my work is a continuation of that chart + alot more...
