Now second thing...UNLIKE a lot of breeders I want you to buy my seed and after you do you own it... YES you own the seed you paid for it, you own it and the right to do what ever you wish with it I support any and everyone who does. Genetic hoards have no home in da HighRise...:thumbs:

Now... breeding we can talk that here briefly no problem...

With the exceptions of anomalies auto x auto = auto not restricted to strain to strain or inbreed strain. Auto mossy x auto highRise= Auto Herbal:check:

Most autos are LR based... which means the auto gene cannot be stopped. In the autos I'm selling now the % of LR is 6.25... and its still dom. This also means you can buy any strain that has LR heritage and cross it to a non auto....and by F4 or 5 be looking at an auto... even if you select non auto phenos... IMO dominate doesn't necessarily mean that right off in the F1 you will see the dominance... Its there no doubt... of its dominance because as soon as you hit F2 it shows up and by F3 you can be well over 50% or there abouts... regardless of whatever phenos you use for breeding...

what would f5 x f1 be?

p1 = parent/plant
f1 = first seeds/babies
s1 = ?

If I assume it takes 30 beans to find a lifelong keeper, and I get on average 6:4 male to female ratio, that gives me about 12 females to choose from over the course of working that strain. That's not a huge pool, even with top notch genetics...arguably, it's a fairly small pool to work with as most high-end breeders are making selections for their parentage from dozens and dozens of plants. Also, I have no problem smoking through 36-48 ounces of high-grade homegrown to find the 1 or 2 plants I like the most

It's worthy to note that 30 beans isn't a huge or crazy search by any means...commercial breeders sort through hundreds, sometimes thousands...

But, for argument's sake, if you're trying to find an F-13 keeper from DJ Short...30 beans = $402 + shipping from Attitude. Hence the point of this thread, lol! I agree with the concept, while I do have some DJ Short and Mr. Nice genetics sitting around, I'd rather buy some independent or less known strains for the sheer sake of finding that diamond in the rough.

To me, the days of paying those RIDICULOUS prices are over unless you want something really specific. There are TONS of cheaper options by plenty reputable breeders selling their work for FAR less, and then encouraging you to F2 and cross out their genetics! *ahem* *RCMC* *ahem* :hot:

No kidding...Cres is great, there are some others as well like Beanho' and BOG that come to mind. Great strains and they love when people breed or even just pollen-chuck with their strains.

I like the guys philosophy, might try one of their strains down the rd... Though I think with the upcoming dragons and the highrise gear and what I currently (have a few of stitches gear im looking forward to growing soon as welhttp://youtu.be/GvnmN0ahknol) have ill be set I think.. For life... LOL! I'm a cannabis junkie though I can't help but to want to try different things... I really was like a kid in a candy shop when I went to the 'dam.... I feel holland calling me again though with all going on personally I don't see that happening soon... Ahh the memories though

quick q guys you got me confused it mentioned auto trait is dom but it does not show in f1 when crossing with a photo so is this not recessive?

not sure but if its the same strain f5xf1 would make a back crossed 1 bc1 IMO
