New Grower Seed prices

Bit confused breeding a reg male and a reg fem from same strain isn't that inbreeding?cant remember if this thread or another talking about inbreeding...So my question is what is best way to get seed stock of same strain without breeding shit seeds? Or will those f1's be fine?
Yoda
bubblegum for example is line breed so if you in breed them you could make decent copys for a few gens until loss of vigour
alot of seeds on the market are f1 hybrids (parents from different lines) you get extra vigour (hybrid vigour) but when you in breed these you unlock dormant genetics and get a wide range of results good and bad

you can breed your own f1's making stable hybrids by crossing 2 unrelated lines

True Mossy's gear will be at RCMC soon, worldwide shipping, very low price.... years of great reputation.

I also have more strains ready in the fridge to release after the current tests run to completion... all female seed... packs of 10 for $45.

Pricing

this is what im talking about right here -- one of the best deals you can ever come across.

to the states would be $65 flat (included $20 shipping)
- 12 seeds (fem) + 15 seeds (not sure if fem or reg) = 27 seeds total with guaranteed!
$65 / 27 = less than $3 per seed THATS A DEAL!

COME ON NOW! Can't help myself! We need collective updates, any news? I check their site daily looking for cres auto and mossy gear... That is one helluva a deal... Especially compared to purchases from seedsman, attitude, and the depot..(or botique I forgot)... I have some durrty's and some blood dragons but I want a black, a stone, a magic and any other one I'm forgetting... Anyone know what dragons are getting ready to be released? Any hints cres of what's in the fridge? The Chaze are coming along Really nice!

I'm stoked too Yoda. I was just on the rcmc website pokin' around and I was really impressed.

Did you see under the smoke A lot seed co a listing for a magic dragon?!?! Huh? Is that Mossy's dragon or something completely different... I don't see any autos at the collective? Do they have a separate site? Very curious on this MD

In other cases, careful selection is required. I’ll take the example of how the Lowryder#2 strain was created to prove my point here.

The goal is to preserve the recessive auto-flowering trait:

a = recessive auto-flowering trait
A = dominant normal flowering

Lowryder was bred to Santa Maria/Planck in order to create LR#2. So;

Santa Maria x Lowryder = AA x aa = 100% Aa F1 --> The auto-flowering trait is masked by the gene for normal flowering but all the offspring carry the recessive trait.

(Santa Maria x Lowryder) x Lowryder = Aa F1 x aa = 50% Aa F2 + 50% aa F2 --> 50% auto-flowering in the second generation. This is where the selection for AF plants begins. We pick one of the AF F2's and cross it once more to a true breeding Lowryder,

[(Santa Maria x Lowryder) x Lowryder] x Lowryder = aa F2 x aa = 100% aa F3 = Lowryder#2

As you can see, if we take one of the auto-flowering F2-individuals and cross it to a true breeding Lowryder we get the same result as when we cross two true breeding Lowryders to each other (LR x LR), 100% auto-flowering individuals.

So, if you want to make a new auto-flowering Lowryder hybrid, you have to backcross it twice to true breeding Lowryders in order to preserve the auto-flowering trait in the new hybrid. Remember though that this F3-offspring only carries 12,5% of the genes from the non-auto-flowering parent. In order to increase this percentage you have to start the process all over again.

Some traits might be controlled by several genes which means that the odds are even smaller that this particular trait will be expressed, especially if it is recessive.

The same goes for every trait of the plant, everything from potency to color so my recommendation is to only use the strongest plants you can find for breeding purposes.

wow so old and un-true... just because you don't see the auto trait in the F1 cross to a non auto doesn't mean the LR gene is not dom...

I can assure everyone that if you cross anything to the LR strain... by F4 or F5 you will have an auto... EVEN IF YOU breed all the NON auto phenos...All the way to F4... you dont have to inbreed auto phenos to end up with a 100% auto...

RCMC asked me if I could wait to update his site to include the mossy strain which should hit his mailbox any day now.

im pretty sure the guy you were quoting was just showing you an insight as how to achieve autoflowering faster by using an example of pre-existing strains, stop jumping to conclusions and trying to make people feel dumb...

you can get to full auto by f3 if you select

Smoke-A-Lot's Magic Dragon has nothing to do with mossy's Dragons. Not an auto. HOWEVER...anything with those Godzilla Grape genetics used in that cross are blessed by them..ask cres. :thumbs:

Anybody looking for an A-LEVEL PHOTO YIELDER should consider Smoke-A-Lot's Magic Dragon or High Rise's Hashplant Pearls...you won't find many commercial strains that bring the level of dankness those strains will...:thumbs:

excuse me... here I am giving out advise and your not understanding at all... if your breeding to F3 by using just the auto phenos your limiting yourself to just the LR side of the genetics your crossing... and then a BX.. if you select the phenos of desired traits, there maybe little need for a BX.

I posted in reference to dom vs recessive. Which you obviously want to twist into me treating someone dumb like... WTF your way out of line. Must people do not understand that you cannot stop the LR gene...no matter how you breed against it... And in 2009 people didnt know that, today they still read old out dated stuff like that and are still led down the wrong road of knowledge. Get an unbrella charles and mind your own biz, your soaking wet. If you dont have anything positive to add then go read, please refrain from correcting what you have little knowledge of.
