I still wouldn't give up on the possibility of the humidifier. It was definitely the cause of my issue.
Yeah I pulled the humidifier out of there before I bleached everything. I'll rebox that and save it for someones Christmas present.I still wouldn't give up on the possibility of the humidifier. It was definitely the cause of my issue.
Still gonna keep the new seedling in the bedroom though just to see what happens.Im not advising to steer clear of humidifiers. Tons of people use them and I've yet to hear of similar issues as mineI think I'm gonna pull the trigger on that anti-bacterial additive and maybe drop just a tiny bit in. Kind of afraid to put it in with my room and kind of afraid not to!
Let's see if it's the problem, before you give it away.Yeah I pulled the humidifier out of there before I bleached everything. I'll rebox that and save it for someones Christmas present.Still gonna keep the new seedling in the bedroom though just to see what happens.
When my moisture meter reads red (dry) I water them. I used to use the finger method to check, but when I put my finger in a hole and it comes out grimy and filthy I go another route.G! Do you always get the plants wet? And have you tried keeping them dry?
I was thinking along those lines. I've quit spritzing seedlings and they seem better off.G! Do you always get the plants wet? And have you tried keeping them dry?
For the record...in my situation... the seedlings I yanked, roots also looked good. Just quit eating/growing.Hello all. Small update on my 2 stunted seedlings. The other day when I flushed them I decided to give them some nutes even though seedlings arent supposed to need them. I didn't want to waste my expensive nutes, so I gave them both some miracle grow liquid plant food with a NPK of 12/8/4 . Last night I saw a new set of leaves had begun on the seedling in the small solo cup type pot. The seedling in the 3 gallon pot had turned brown and was pretty much dead though. I'll include a couple of pics of the one that I pulled. It may be hard to see, but the roots were nice and white just like the previous ones that I pulled. Also none of the seeds that I still had in paper towels had germed after 3 weeks, but the 3 Skystompers I put in Wednesday all germed correctly. All were done exactly the same and were in the same room to germ.
