Day 15

After a rough start they are growing healthy now. One final hand feed and when runoff stops I’ll put them on the tray. This was a good experience for me because I’ve never had problems in the early stages and I think mistakes are the best learning tool around. Time will tell if I stunted them or not but I won’t mind if they are because I’m trying to get them a bit smaller anyways by reducing light and feed strength. My main concern for this grow is seeing how the GH nutes and sched work with the tray. They’re all slightly different in size but same growth stage with the 5th set popping out. There are spots on end of some leaves thats nute spillage lol I’m sure these plants would fire me if they could. Happy thanksgiving to you all and see you next Monday

Also started leaf tucking today except grape crinkle, she’s still spaced too far apart. They’ll be looking like a stepped on cabbage plant for a while.

Day 22

Bottom right Chemmy Powers was somehow severely pushed to its left side last week, maybe an elbow or knee I have no idea. But pushed so far that the left first node is actually under the dirt.

Because she was small and very bushy I decided to top her after 3 and will do a little lst like the old days.

oh yeah immediately when they go on the tray. They were only off the trays a couple days because I wanted to flush out my nute mistake

Day 28

To keep a short story short, I’m bored with growing and taking a break. Packed everything away, threw away the plants, and now my drum kit will assume its rightful wide open space. I have a years supply on hand so I’ll probably be back in about 9 months ✌

First off happy new year! Starting it off with good news over here, I’ve always grown for just my kid and I (she’s 28) and now she has room for a max 3x3 tent so I’m giving her my 3x3 setup. She lives literally about an 8 iron away from me and here every day so she asked if she could take advantage of my downtime and do her first grow here. So we got the rig setup last night and dropped a Chemmy Powers in some water, then she came over tonight and dropped her first bean to pot
I’m instructed to do nothing except consult, she’s 100% hands on. At her place she needs lights off from 7a-noon because tent is in bedroom and husband works nights so that’s what we’re doing, a 19/5 schedule. Using 70/30 coco/perlite, GH trio again on medium feed, hand watering daily until leaves have reached edge of pot then we’ll transfer to the autopot. See you soon

Hey man! That's really cool thing to do. Plus, time to learn if they've been moochin this whole time, and now they can supply you on occasion too! Going with an autopot instead of the mats?

Yeah she’s wanted to grow her own but her last apartment was a no go. I grow waaayy more than we need but she wants to learn for the future so that she’ll never have to buy it. She knows a lot already for sure but has never been hands on mixing feeding defol etc. Going with the pot because she can only fit a 3x3 and tray won’t fit. And this is my kit, its still in pieces because I’m completely rearranging out here

I have an e set which I use most anyways because I can control volume or use headphones and not piss off the neighborhood every day but I miss the feel of acoustic.

We’re on day 8 of our grow and all is well. I had a chuckle when she was all relieved to see her first sprout haha I told her I could relate Light schedule changed to 24/0 for heat control. Showed them here in the dark how little light comes through and all good. Their place is 100 years old with plaster and no insulation so she won’t bother growing in the summertime.

On another note, because she’s happy with a smallish plant that won’t be squeezing out of a 3x3 we’re going with less EC and therefore less DLI. Starting at sprout my “big plant” recipe uses ro water with EC 2.0 DLI 30ish and “small plant” uses tap water with EC 1.8 (but my tap alone is 0.6). Both ways we feed daily from day 1. For comparison, here’s her 8 day old followed by a 9 day old on the big boy diet.
