Grow Mediums "Sexy" Outdoor RQS Diesel grow with one pot Autopot test run with H&G brought to you by Ars!

I have not done the math and might not. I'm going to have 10,000 grams of the stuff. That's a lot.

Sample has arrived!

10k grams for $55! I wonder if I can amend my soil with this stuff and let it be and just feed plain water...

@lunarman you don't have any issues with megacrop clogging your autopot lines? Also do you PH your water before or after adding the stuff? ALso you think this will do better in a reservoir with hotter temps?

I am still waiting for my MC. Have two shipments coming. I would PH after always. But you might not need to with this stuff.

When I added it on a ration of 2 Grams/gallon my PH went from 5.5 to 8.6 just an FYI

I think this has become a megacrop thread...

Mega crop is easy and results look good. Burned my plant with the hg but things seem to be looking good so far. A little tip with the mega crop is to mix the nutrients wait about a half hour then adjust ph.

My solution to the heat problem was actually burying the auto pot plunger part. Unfortunately I couldn’t think of a solution for the reservoir so I will be using it with LOS and ph’d aqua. Mega crop is so easy to mix I don’t mind adding it every 3 days or so.

Good start, last summer I kept the res in my greenhouse the whole time in use and not. It was always cool.

I wrapped a reservoir with Refletix insulation it works great res stayed about 72F with occasional temps to 75F. The res cools overnight some so the solution stays reasonably cool. If you tend you plants daily, then use a cordless drill and a paint stirrer and give it a stir every day. I've not had any algae growth or other problems. Another option is to bury the res in the ground if you can, it will stay cool.

I do hope that works for you. I know from working in hydro which when using coco is basically hydroponics, regardless of the shade, your water will be as warm as the ambient temperature around it. So if it’s 80 degrees outside your reservoir will be 80 or warmer. Anything above 72f and your dissolved oxygen levels will drop dramatically, inviting things to grow in there you don’t want. I don’t think the effect would be so dramatic if you were growing in soil. Even better LOS with just plain water in the reservoir.

Not trying to be negative, just something to think about.

Organic soil and auto pots is a stress free system! I've done several organic grows in them! And take a look at my Simple Soil thread. Organic doesn't need to be a lot of work to make!
Add soil, plant fill res with water, sit back and watch your plants grow! Its that simple!

I have only dabbled in the organics side and I’m just far too lazy. I love the concept, but I’m the only one smoking my product and coco and synthetic nutes on an autofeeding system that I can leave for over a week at a time just fits with my lifestyle. :smoking:

Happy Growing! :vibes:

Sorry pop but I couldn’t find your thread called Simple Soil. Would you please give me the link?
