Grow Mediums Shipping issue with AP website

i have been trying to order some stuff off their website all evening and keep getting told there is no shipping methods available. Not sure what im doing wrong or if there is a problem with their website.

@Son of Hobbes have they ever shown up around here or have a userid yet?
 
I have multiple email addresses for the AP boys in the US and the UK. PM me if you want them. I'd just give up on thinking they will be on AFN.. They never have. Way better off just emailing them directly. They have awesome service and email response brother. They are smart actually. Spread yourself thin by being on multiple discussion boards and not do a good job. Or give better service by corporate email. No brainer.

And if you are in the US that's one ecomm website for ordering. If you are in Canada and shopping online then that's totally different again.

Getting answers to questions = email them. ordering product, another thing altogether with so many options.

Thanks for the offer, I have emailed them, but after they go home for the weekend you might as well forget it. For now their shopping cart seems to be acting up and I can’t even order the couple hundred dollars worth of stuff I need and my outdoor season is coming up fast.

I wouldn’t be so quick to defend them either. Some of us got very negative responses from the US shop in the early days, circa 2016, and were not allowed to ask anything that might be considered aiding cannabis growers, they even would hang up on you if they thought you were using autopots for cannabis. In addition, the fact that they can’t take the time to come on here and at least introduce themselves and pass around an AFN coupon every now and then does not represent good customer service to me. There are several folks here that have sold quite a few units for them just by the grows they posted.

Just use ebay instead. Some things are cheaper than on original site.
Unfortunately they don’t sell everything that autopots sells and the couple items I can purchase from eBay are actually more expensive than on their site.

Are you ordering from Autopots USA or from their European site?

Not sure why you would say that; I talk to Dan with Autopots on Skype weekly :d5: Here's the scoop if there was some confusion; AFN actually create Autopots a forum not because we had intention of asking them to be a vendor (this was a long time ago,) but because the MEMBERS here DEMANDED we created a forum for it. Autopots didn't even know we made a forum for them. YOU guys wanted it, so we gave it to you lol. :hump: So it's not Autopots dragging their feet; I literally just reached out to them a few weeks ago and said "we created a forum for you guys a long time ago because our community wanted it; would you guys want to OFFICIALLY come on the site?"

And that's where we sit now. And officially, Autopots is sending AFN twelve (12) of their 4-site units for product testing; so we'll be seeing a massive test thread going soon with testers trying them out. :pighug:

Again, please see above; you guys are missing details. As to them not picking up the phone/e-mail on weekends, are you a small business owner? Most people don't pick up the phone/e-mail after 5 pm or on weekends, we have families dude (gotta defend small business owners here lol, we're not slaves.)

Very good point. Its not smart to jump to conclusions. I do know there is some truth to the idea that vendors can be too busy to stay on top of discussions on boards setup just for them.
I had one vendor that is an AFN sponsor or whatever the term is tell me on the phone that its hard to stay on top of the multiple discussion sites and they actually prefer it when people call their toll free number and talk to them.
And there is another vendor that has their own board on AFN and he just never replies to anything sent his way. Direct questions about his products sit ignored after multiple posts with him tagged. But does answer email.
And its come up before in conversation with other vendors not even on AFN. With social media, instagram in particular, they are swamped. Your approach of having testers for a vendor is pretty smart because those testers be proxy support people for the vendor sometimes.
And then there is Mephisto. Those guys do a pretty admirable job of staying on top of discussions especially considering the volume of posts they get.
Or @BigSm0 and cobshop. There's a one man operation that delivers quality product that seems to always be in high demand and big growth, is there on AFN and in his section participating in all the discussions. What a great guy to have on AFN.

Anyway, I love AFN. Great discussion site. And there are some great vendors on here too.

Yes in my years before retirement I had been a small business owner and in those days the only way you stayed ahead of the big boys was to have a superior product and exceptional customer service. In addition, I never knew they were a small business, in two years of buying from them I always saw a company with locations on two continents with a blog that shows them traveling the world setting up autopots. My small business never had all that.

Sorry I brought up my past experiences with them as I obviously still have some strong feelings about being hung up on in the past by the US store and I won’t bring it up again. I think they have a great product, heck I’m on my sixth grow with them four of which I posted here and willing to expand my purchases even further to test out their products in my greenhouse, but still think they could improve their customer service even if the are a “small” business. There are several small businesses on this forum that do provide great customer service and I guess they spoiled me. BigSm0 & Biotabs F69 just a couple of fine examples.
