Grow Mediums Shipping issue with AP website

I doubt if I’ve swayed anyone over to the autopots side with my journals, but I have always given credit to their systems ability to grow cannabis while I’m not even home. My current ordering problem was cleared up Monday morning and have since received the items I needed. Another testament to my faith in their autovalve, I’m converting my greenhouse garden to trays and the Easy2GO setup. No more digging in the dirt, just put the plants in fabric pots, drop into the tray, and let the autovalve do its job. So I pulled up my raised garden and replaced it with this setup to begin with. Once I can get a couple 4x4 trays locally, they cost too much to ship, I will replace these dishwasher trays with them. So far they seem to be working well the way they are right now.

I like the idea of those.

Hey brother you're welcome to share your experience and definitely encouraged to do so; but I do think our mileage and experience as business owners varies though lol (and we can both be our own judge of our own success.) Believe me, I do understand the value of good customer service (I've spent a good chunk of my life in CS,) but I do know boundaries too and how demanding customers can be with peoples time (and hey I get it, but there's a lot of ways to run a business, not just the way a consumer demands it to be.) I don't know what your experience was with the company prior (and that sucks if it was negative,) I've simply always had a good experience with them (and I'm an autopot user myself.)

It's not a requirement for vendors to actually represent on here. @lunarman hit the nail on the head; forums are typically a time sink and most companies don't have the time/staff dedicated to staff them like we all would love to see. Some companies I talk to actually have dedicated social media people that help run accounts like these; others are just more interested in showing the products off in the hands of growers (and in virtually all cases, contacting the vendor direct through their own channels is going to be preferable, of course.)

We encourage all vendors to participate on the board; but it's up to them how time they can put in (and we don't hold it against them if they don't, life's a busy mother F'er, most people get that.)

Since I entered the discussion without reading the entire thread, let me say that I was planning my first grow in 20 years, one year ago. I found AFN by searching autopot grows, found the autopot forum on AFN and read every single journal. I've had nothing but great service from Autopots (USA) going back to end of 2016 start of 2017. Personal emails from the shipping department, calls from same, suggestions on how to save $$ by altering my order and best of all, honoring my requests to not have to sign for deliveries. Sure, I've been frustrated a few times by their lack of activity on the weekends but I'm impatient so I always factor that in. Overall, I've made 7 purchases since my initial purchase of the 1 pot system. I've done 3 successful grows and my last two (autoflowers) had massive yields sending cyber friends running to order them. I've seen several of their grows and they've had success. I knew not to ever bring up cannabis in the past but had heard their tune had changed on that. I am in a legal rec/med state.

I hope to see them on here and some discounts would be awesome but I see both sides and get that it's a marketing thing. Glad to hear they will be possbily around. I've also sent several growers to AFN to check out the autopots forum.

I've also had my share of issues with the AP's for example, last grow I had two plants completely blow roots past the RCD and fill the tray with a massive knot of roots. I improvised but it was not expected nor pleasing to see. Didn't stop me from starting my current autopot grow. Thanks gang!

I’m giving it a whirl and seeing what happens. So far they filled the tray about an inch and while it would be nice if there were small ribs in the bottom of these trays for better saturation, but I think the fabric pots should soak up the nutrients without too many issues. I need to find something to easily cover the trays. I’m thinking weed barrier cloth cut to fit around the pots should do fine. I have a fabric pot in an autopot tray in my tent right now and nothing is growing in the tray yet after a few weeks of the water being exposed to the lights. I believe the fact that the nutrient solution is not stagnant and constantly being replaced is one of the reasons nasties don’t seem to grow. Will be interesting to see what it does outdoors in real sunlight.

Sounds like I need to start a mini journal on how well these replace a raised garden. LOL
