New Grower Skatters perpetual DWC/Coco Grow Show

Why drain to waste rather than recirculating?

You could probably set up a drip system for about twenty bucks at lowes

Lookin' good SB. Glad to hear the security scare wasn't anything to worry about.. good stuff there. The ladies look healthy, threw ya some rep for the well grown plants man. How big is that one in the HD bucket (height/width) to get an idea of the bucket size. I can see it in my head but just curious. :D

Probably due to all of the possibilities for salt build up and the pH fluctuations it'll cause.

Drip is DTW..

Hey man, thanks for stopping by. She is exactly 24" Tall and 24" Wide. Im sure she could have been larger but she lost a significant portion of her root mass to root rot, AND underwent a transplant. So all things considering, I couldnt be happier sofar. Her side branches are almost caught up to the main cola also, which is exciting:D:

Glad to see you back buddy! Looks like you've been busy. We might just convert you to soil yet :D

Man, I dont think there is anything but coco in my future. I cant believe how amazing that stuff is. The control of hydro with the forgiveness of soil. The stuff is unreal. It really is the best of both worlds

I may learn soil for outdoors but apparently coco works outside well from what ive read. Depending how many seeds I can manage to get this run I may be planning a larger outdoor crop next summer until I can find a better location for indoors since Im moving anyway.

Im already incorporating microbiology into both my DWC and Coco tland have noticed amazing results. Brewing teas with select bacteria and fungus, primarily trichoderma, bacillus, and Mycos have done wonders sofar. It works the same way High Brix does.Theroots secrete sugars and other compounds designed to feed beneficial microbes, so I brew the select microbes needed into a tea and att that to the nutrient rich airated solution. The same science can be applied both to soio and hydroponic systems. lts very interesting stuff for sure. Im reading a very good book on the subject currently but the name escapes me right now. Ill get the title of it if your interested.

Makes perfect sense. Didn't realize you were already doing this. I can't vouch for coco so you may be correct there. Ill have to try it in future grows to see for myself. Guess hydro/soil is like iPhone/Android lol
