Makes perfect sense. Didn't realize you were already doing this. I can't vouch for coco so you may be correct there. Ill have to try it in future grows to see for myself. Guess hydro/soil is like iPhone/Android lol

Haha yeah thats what it seems like. Not too many people cross over from one side to the other it seems.

And yeah after my root rot got bad and h2O2 barely slowed it down, i went down the microbe eoute. A week later the roots were healthy again. Stopped applying the tea for a week and the browning of the roots started to come back. So needless to say, I think I will be innoculating my roots with beneficial microbes from start to finish on all my grows from now on. I see no reason not to, other than occasionally having to clean bio film and worm shit from my bucket and airstones every week or so

I used UC Roots by current culture and have no problems despite res temps around 75 (I haven't exactly been on point with throwing ice packs into all the buckets). Something worth checking out...

I have some sensi zyme that I havent needed to use yet which basically eats dead organic matter converting them to basic carbons. So far my Microbe Militia has been taking care of any root issues, but I plan to use the enzymes around harvest time to clean up any dead shit in my coco.Then Ill sift the living roots out, and reuse the coco while applying the zyme for the first few weeks.

I came up with a design made up from PVC and O Hooks already, but I dont plan to do a scrog until I do a photoperiod grow with clones. Its really not that feasable with autos, or from seed. I mean, it can obviously be done, but the benefits are significantly diminished.

Since you cannot control veg on autoflowers, trying to fill the screen isnt easily controlled. They just run wild, and I think trying to manage that is more trouble than its worth. Varied height and other factors between plants will also make it quite a pain I think.

Im keeping my first grow or two relatively straight forward, and ill apply new techniques each subsequent grow. I have a few photos vegging now so perhaps I will attempt a SOG scrog in my mini tent once I can take cuttings off of them. It would, for obvious reasons, be much easier to create an even, and full canopy to maximize my square footage and watts with clones

The PVC design fyi is an unnecessary amount of work, presuming it is the one in which you use twine to make the grid. Concrete remesh is cheap and has the grid already.... All you need to do is to staple it to a wood frame and hang from the ceiling and you're done.
