Thanks brother! Its been a rollecoaster sofar, glad to have you along for the ride haha

Silica blast is great stuff. i didnt use it on my last res change, and shortly after i stopped my one plant became stunted and overcome with root rot. Im thinking the silica was responsible for keeping her strong early on, to overcome the abuse i put her through. Im definitely re-introducing it to my res. Ill probably change them out tomorrow.

Just. heads up, make sure you mix the silica in your water first before nutes or ph. If you dont, it can cause chemical lockout of other nhtes. Also keep an eye on the PH, I noticed Silica Blast causes the PH to rise pretty significantly. Nothing that cant be managed, though

Hey SkatterBrayne.... yeah, I feel you on wanting to have the buckets independent for the first round, which is what I'm doing. I got some nice design ideas for waterfall rdwc from FunkySkunkyMonkey on thctalk.com. Go check it out! He's getting epic results.

In other news, my tent is up, and I'm going to germ my seeds next Monday. Exciting stuff!

SkatterBrayne btw my tent is 10' x 5' x 7' (secret jardin dark room ii dr300w). Nice setup you've got there... I'd like to get a two tent system if/when I get more space, but right now not feasible. It'd be nice to get a small tent for developing clones and use the big tent for veg & flower. Until then I'm sticking with autoflowers....

nice dude, what strains are you running? I just placed anither order for some seeds to start in a few weeks.

Im spacing them about a month apart, that way i can harves 2-3 plants every 3-4 weeks.

That big tent is 10x4x7. You will be very happy, it is enormous haha.. There really isnt a need for a second tent quite yet, i just wanted to get the ball rolling on a fullscale perpetual. I also wanted that second tent for drying with carbon filter so my house doesnt stink up the neighborhood haha

Just DP Think Differents. I'd also like to do Star Ryder in the future. Want high THC sativa-dominant strains...

Yeah I hear you man, I only mess with Sativas for the most part. Although im gonna start growing an indica or 2 to help with my insomnia. Havent had it for over a month, but there are weeks where I dont sleep. I want to have a jar of knockout buds for when it inevitably comes back lol

I have 2 TD seeds on their way, amongst others. Definitely goin to plant one of those bad boys right away

Nice!

Also I was thinking about your ph issue that you had. Have you looked at Advanced Nutrients stuff? Apparently their nutrients are absorbed at a wider range of ph. Something they call "ph perfect." I think I'm gonna go with:

- Send I Grow A & B for first few weeks
- Connoisseur A & B for flowering
- Hobbies Bundle

Still debating whether I'm gonna throw down for the expert bundle. Probably not, but maybe buy their flush solution...

Yeah I have heard about them but decided against it. I dropped the ball going out of town before I had my setup remotely close to dialed in. PH has been stable for me over the last week (Without using silica, my PH hasnt budged).

Just did a res change to try and prevent any of that root rot from springing up like it did on my one CJ. I re-introduced the silica to the res to help them with stress, so we will see if i can keep their PH stable

The war against root rot continues. I think it is under control on the critical jack that was less effected. I did a res change and added a few mils of food grade h2o2. Some floating roots still but i will be monitoring closely.

The other critical jack isnt so lucky. It was probly inevitable that I would eventually kill her after everything she went through lol. Simply touching and lightly pulling her roots yesterday, over 80% of them came right off. They were already dead. She is still stunted, and has virtually no root mass left. She looks dead in the water (literally!) Ill probably cut her down tomorrow and spare her misery, if the situation doesnt improve.

I have a few photoperiod seeds germinating, and my materials for a coco run are in the mail. This heat wave and increased tent temps has me very worried about future root rot.
